Dj Tiesto

Sorry guys but I think this guy should just retire...

he's way past his used-by date, Suburban Train was his encore, now I think he should just do the good thing and give it all away, he's had his time playing mediocre tunes and the odd good one here and there, but he's not 'progressive' enough for my liking. He's stuck in the 90's, he's old news! 1999 was a great year, but get over it! He's old and weary, this is shown by his inept taste of cheezey techno.

FOR THE GOOD OF TRANCE DJ TIESTO SHOULD HANG UP HIS HEADPHONES AND RETIRE TO BEING A WEDDING DJ!

you obviously didn't see him at two tribes 02, did you bedrock?

i liked his latest set from global dj broadcast (14-10-02)... sorta going back to the way he was... if he keeps on heading this way, i will be looking forward to his return to australia!

but before i heard this set i was thinking pretty much the same way you were...

hopefully its not just a once off!

He was on Nova doing a live 2 hour set from Amnesia, i taped it.

the first 2 tracks were like weird cause they were tribal trance..

He play Perpetuous dreamer - sound of goodbye as the second track...

His mixing is bloody superb, wayyyy better than Paul Van Dyk..i think PVD should retire not tiesto..

I mean fuck, PVD version of Tic Toc was the bloody Tiesto Remix (Magik Muzik) with less vocals and harder beats...

PVD is not as creative as Tiesto...Tiesto is the one with the brains, so PVD should retire while its young..

Meh...music is music. If someone or something doesn't do it for you then just don't listen to it.

Nova usually plays good stuff from 12 onwards, sometimes later, on saturday nights. last week was pvd and this week tiesto..

hopefully something good next week as well

Hahahah, its true, he's not as good as he used to be, but i guess my tastes have moved on Bedrock, this is the second thread in a week dissing a big DJ!! hahahah, first Marco, now Tiesto Who's next?

Some people like roast beef, other people like chicken.
Its up to you to decide on what kind of music you like. If Teisto is not playing the music you like, move on. Find a better a DJ to listen to.

Of course Tiesto is good enough to realise that if the music he is playing is not drawing in the crowds he will most likely change his style or as you said retire. But i sure hope that he will keep playing for many more years to come.

I JUST DOWNLOADED THIS SET YESTERDAY DJ TIESTO - LIVE AT ENERGY 2000 OR SOMETHING AND ITS AWESOME!



I agree tiesto of late isnt as good. However that global dj broadcast set is great. As well as that 80 min set from cream amnesia earlier this year. I think that we as trance addicts download every set and want something thats, better than energy 2000, and we havent heard before. Thats not possible. So if people are getting tired of tiesto, go download house music, techno, progressive, rnb for 3 months and then come back to trance.

tiesto is still a talented genious

i always wondered why its called progressive...never seems to be getting anywhere to me!

armin has taken over as king of the dutch djs in the last year but i have to admit tiestos recent sets have been outstanding!! (back to his best!)

True the last couple live sets of Tiesto that i've heard have been very enjoyable!!

Tiesto was awesome in Energy 2000. I felt he had a quiet patch after that, maybe getting a lil too chessy. His last few sets tho have been pretty good, gettin back some decent taste
