really sad news! I guess the reason is trance isn't popular like 10 years ago, now commercial shit like tiesto skrillex and others at the top

the creator of that site told us about a year ago that he just didn't have time to keep up with the site like when he was younger. It was tough seeing it go but i can understand his reasoning.

I used the site for ASOT tracklist archive.
All the tracklists for every episode were displayed nice on a good fast site.

I hope TA will stay alive, altough there is less traffic in this section.
10 years ago with live set broadcasts from sensation, Asot etc, I had real fun on this forum during the evening/nights.

Thank you guys for all the kind words....

I started URTranceZone back in 2005 because there was a need to provide people with a place to safely download mixes from direct servers -- specially rips from events (free of viruses, countdowns, & torrents). Over the years our library grew to 4700K mixes!!

So what happened? 1) Soundcloud came along (same idea as mine) -- 2) Facebook & Twitter became huge and 3) most people don't care for forums -- people only want 140 characters or less to express themselves.. And to make matters worst Tiesto, Aokie, Hardwell, and all the other shitty music became mainstream .. lol

Also, I'm now 33 -- started the site when I was 23 (I had more energy back then)

Anyway -- I have no time to keep up the site and the spam robots were posting like crazy (thankfully not in the LIVE sets & Radio Shows).. Also, hundredths of notices from Google RE: Copyright Digital Millennium Act -- too much headache --

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to explain the reasoning behind my decision to pull the plug.

Again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT ALL THE PAST YEARS!!!

Oh yes -- the new generation will never really get to experience this..

I mean now all types of events get broadcated on awesome quality -- yet is not the same as the old Global Gathering, TRANCE ENERGY, Sensation, or ARMIN ONLY Events.

That's how I feel.

Even thou I still listen to trance, surf forums, make tracklists and cuesheets, its now the same without the community.

Trance as a genre has been dead for a long time. The closure of the forum was therefore inevitable. Everywhere the same musical garbage is published. Who has not changed in 10 years, dying out. Would there not here a few active users, the forum would be dead already. The monetary horny spammers who leave their musical garbage everywhere, have in mind a large part of the blame.

I'm very happy that I was here already in 2004 and part of the great times.

I'm still listening livesets from those years, Trance, Progressive Trance and Progressive.

Sometimes listening to old ASOTS or GDJB's or old sets from Tiesto, Armin, Markus, Gabriel & Dresden, Ozgur Can, Perry O'neil etc.

I'm still finding new great tracks I didn't discover in those years

But the feeling of the forum in those years will never come back.
Whole nights listening to Sensation sets, with good guys on this forum.
Talking, making jokes, drinking beer etc, I'm happy to have been part of that!

Also logging in every Thurday 20.00 PM for listening to a new live ASOT set with Armin from the studio

Hope, you will keep in touch with us here! There are only a few of old members here left! But i believe they are still interested in those track lists and sets just use some other boards. All of us get older, have less time, but still loving it!
