GLOBAL UNDERGROUND - NICK WARREN IN REYKJAVIK!! (Iceland)

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-21-2002 19:34:

Yup...it's warren in iceland

better not be as bad as his last mix....gu018 was horrible.

You have probably read about Afterhours. Nick Warren's GU most certainly won't be released already in November...

"Afterhours is another radical departure for Global Underground following the recent release of Electric Calm (a Quad and Coded compilation). Afterhours is not a time it is merely a place in time, a place where we end up. A place to chill, a place to party, a place to start all over again. Featuring tracks from Depeche Mode, Sparklehorse, Meat Katie, and Ashtrax. The tracklisting is as diverse as possible to suit all afterhours moods."

I know Bjrk's son, she once came to my home to take a pee, when she was picking up her son at my home...

that was a long time ago though. Her son has parties very often and i often meet him there.

The Global Underground CD will be released in January here in iceland and in the UK i think.

Yep, confirmed. His awesome video interview on www.spectivedance.com confirms this new GU project.

I heard that Nick Warrens GU from Iceland is actually gonna be 25, and Deep Dish is doing 024? I dunno Either way, i'm buying both of em

Posted by Renegade on Oct-22-2002 13:36:

According to prog-sounds, GU 24 will most likely be Nick Warren in Iceland, and it will be a more laid back, down-tempo mix than we are usually used to with the GU compilations:

http://www.progressive-sounds.com/r...3-barcelona.asp

Read the bottom bit.

As for another Sasha GU? Well people were saying that he may be doing 22 in Mexico, and then when it was announced that Dave Seaman would be doing it, the rumours about Sasha - Mexico 023 started. So yeah, he's not likely to do 24 now either, but hey, with his album out of the way there's always a chance GU 025 - Azerbaijan......

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-22-2002 14:40:

Expect a sasha mix album from GU in 2003. He was going to do Mexico City but got busy finishing airdrawndagger and other things.

I dont know why they dont try other DJs like Phil Thompson, Lucien Foort, Sean Cusick or maybe Tom Middleton....there are so many talented DJs so why do we need another Nick Warren GU???
He's done 3 already.

Posted by TranceGiant on Oct-22-2002 16:10:

I'm waiting for a Nubreed comp mixed by Justin Scott Dixon aka Voyager. I mean a lot of his tracks are feautred on the GU albums. He is one of the guys from Quad Communications. Don't know why he's kept a relatively low profile in the progressive scene. I think he is very underrated.
