2015.04.24 [CFL] Christopher Lawrence with Suzy Solar, Robb Blak, Dj J-13 @ Bikkuri Lounge, Orlando

The last Friday of every month...Enter�Lost in Trancelation

On April 24th, Lost in Trancelation is celebrating its 5th year anniversary of its night dedicated to the sounds of Trance! They're joining forces once again with Tampa based international Trance Artist, Suzy Solar and her company, Solar Power Music to do another big Trance DJ, small club event with true Trance legend, Pharmacy Recordings label boss, Christopher Lawrence!!! This event will be held at Bikkuri Lounge in Orlando, Florida on April 24th, from 9-3am. This promises to be an intimate, Trance Family experience. There will only be 140 tickets available for this show. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure you purchase them soon (PM me for hard copy tickets to avoid service fee's), as this event will sell out!

Bikkuri Lounge - Entrance at rear of the building

Set Times

9-10pm DJ J-13
10pm-11pm Robb Blak
11pm-12am Suzy Solar
12-2:30am Christopher Lawrence
2:30-2:55 We're having a meet & greet with Christopher Lawrence & Suzy Solar. This allows the artist time to do an encore and then have 20 minutes of stress free time to take pictures, autographs and take a group picture.

Sweet I'll attend! CL is a old school legend! Upgrade the sound system for this event please.

April 24th will be a bad night. Space will be having 1IM and be bringing in, as i hear it, some really great trance talent. Last 1IM event brought in the likes of Simon Patterson and Indecent Noise, as i am sure some of you may know, just to give an idea.

I would have loved to travel to Orlando to catch this show, but I will remain at home base to catch 1IM, assuming they will be bringing in the good stuff.

April 24th will be a bad night, as in bad meaning good. Just because 1NM books a trance show at Space, that doesn't mean the entire trance scene in the state of Florida will attend. I went to the last 1NM and there were maybe 10-15 people from the central Florida region there. Our show with Indecent Noise in Orlando, there was about the same amount, 10-15 people from South Florida that attended. The venue we use in Orlando is small, only 140 people capacity. At our upcoming Christopher Lawrence show in April, we are celebrating the 5 year anniversary of this night, which is the longest running night dedicated to Trance in Florida.

What I meant by bad night is that it sucks for florida trance fans to have to decide between the two shows. I would love to go to both If they were to fall on separate nights, but oh well.

I went to the last show and I loved it. Probably the best trance party I've ever been to in my life because of its authenticity. The crowd was pure and amazing -- true fans in the room just having a stellar time. I will definitely be back there again.

These days, it's rare that Trance fans have to decide between two events. A plus is, that it gives fans in each region some trance so we aren't forced to drive across the state to hear music we like. I'm hoping you'll listen to a bunch of Christopher's "Rush Hour" and Suzy's "Solar Power Sessions" radio shows, (Especially next week for her 700th episode which will have an exclusive mix from Christopher Lawrence) and decide on making a road trip :-)

The monthly, Lost in Trancelation night, which is the last Friday of every month, is put on by Orlando Dj's Robb Blak and DJ Agni. Suzy Solar and I are working together with them to do a series of big trance Dj, small club events. I'll give you a hint about what's coming up in June... it's going to be mental ;-)

Much appreciated! We're just trying to create some entertainment for ourselves and for the trance community. I really wish the shows were on separate nights. Lucho always books the best lineups!

Aurally speaking, I don't see how anyone can still be listening to trance now unless you're just starting to listen to dance music and it's the avenue you're taking (like many people have, myself included). It just sounds watered down now. That's no offense to the people still into it or trying to earn a living by it, but as a listener of music in general I don't see how you can't progress from that sound considering the deeper stuff (and not necessarily darker) that's out there. I don't know, I think of my lifelong listening experience as a progression. I've brought this up before. Started with hip hop, but if you want to stay underneath the electronic umbrella - Trance is Barney & Friends while techno is Pulp Fiction. That's how I view it, anyways. And who knows how much deeper or darker it can get before you find yourself sitting in a cafe with a glass of wine, puffing a cigar, listening to Jazz or some other old timer music.

Anyways, I went off topic as I sit here stoned, lol.

I meant to say I enjoyed the first half of that mix

On who's authority are you judging a genre to be watered down. There's sets now that make tiesto from back then look like crap LOL./

You come from rap than head straight to teistoo when he stopped playing trance than decided to get that tattoo of his sign. cmon man you truly don't have a background to justify what you're saying.

Maybe so, but my tastes have matured since then, too.

I was a fan of Tiesto at my most infant stage - that was five years ago. I think I'd shoot myself if I were still listening to him. That's not me, though. I don't just find something I like and settle. I want to explore further.

I've done enough listening and researching over that half of a decade to grow older at a faster pace than a lot of listeners. I'd say most of us TAs have; that's why we're here. But some people like their one genre and stick to it.

My initial post was meant to spark conversation, not to offend anyone.

We all think we're elitists when it comes to our music. All of us.

There is no best genre just because it has darker pads, basslines, leads, chord progressions. Its just a style of music and its all been done before. Perhaps your search is not broadly wide enough.

There's idiots on all the sides of end when it comes to genre's. I'm sure ultra had some dumbasses that barrel thru crowds or fist pumping drum code lovers ( no offense). The list goes on for each taste. There is no just one most mature taste in music, oh please.

I'm talking about it in relation to music. How we all, as individuals, perceive sounds. Sure, one could argue that maturity in music doesn't exist. That's kind of the point of me starting this discussion, though.
