critique this amateur track

so i had a little play around with FL and this is what i came up with.

i have made one or two short tracks like this in the past. this is what i always come up with - an intro and bassline drop, basically.

i am looking for more experienced producers to critique this - on what is there, what is not, and where to go next.

using FL stutio stock sounds and a little bit of rob papen blue II.

it is just a one minutes thing, cheers

Since nobody replies you, I will be the one to tell you the truth.

You're 5 years away from a decent track.

How did you calculate that?

I'm a visioner.

Post your track to the WIP thread thats what it is there for

Posted by rubez on Mar-23-2015 10:59:

useless!

Posted by Innocence Lost on Mar-23-2015 13:15:

Maybe if you post it in the right section you'll get the right criticism.

Quite honestly, there's nothing to critique. It's just a beat and very little else.

It's not bad, it's not good, it just... is.

you're just being lazy/incompetent.

the bass needs limited/compressed/sidechained or something. it is clearly too much. the delayed hat could be a little less obviously delayed in the mix. so there is those two things you missed.

and since you say there is little there, you could have elaborated on what it sorely lacks - and what should follow, since i asked for that specifically... for direction.

the WIP thread just seems to be everyone blowing smoke up each others arses.

i wouldn't call this a work in progress. that implies i am going to finish it. this is more like a general brain storming fart!

Well, if you don't want to use the thread these sort of things are intended for, that's the best you're going to get.

What do you need anyone here for if you already know that?

If you expect others to write your tracks for you, you need a different hobby. Or a ghost producer.

What the fuck are you looking for then? Why should we care about your brain storming farts? Come back when you've actually got something you intend to finish, until then you can keep on whining.

such an eloquent and elaborate dissection of my post - shame you couldn't be arsed to do that with my one-minute track.

what a cock.

i think i'll listen to one of your tracks and see how well it fares...

You try too hard to be edgy.

Posted by rubez on Mar-23-2015 15:26:

i don't. just post your track please.

Posted by Andy28 on Mar-23-2015 15:42:

1. Post in the right section.

2. Its just a crappy beat, honestly what are you wanting people to say?

3. Whats wrong with a 4 incher?

Seriously, there's nothing to critique. Oonts oonts oonts oonts for the first half, then some really unpleasant thumpy bass.

Posted by djnitride on Mar-23-2015 19:57:

rubez I don't mean to be condescending but I will just be blunt: If you don't treat others with respect and give their intentions the benefit of the doubt they will not do the same for you.

Put your best foot forward, lose the attitude and post things in the right place

Go look at the WIP thread. The last track that Mr Mystery posted was signed to a label.

Your move.

what revenue has it gathered in monetary sums?
what known djs have played it?
where can i buy a vinyl copy?
