Tune ID 2001
Hello
I was wondering can anyone help me? I am looking for an ID on a trancy number from around 2001 which has a breakdown with a kind of break beat and female vocals singing "Calling, Calling, Calling..."
It is NOT Libra Presents Taylor Calling your Name lol, vague I know have been searching this one for a while now. Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Are you sure it's not "Falling"?
Guys thanks for replying much appreciated, I know both of these tracks very well unfortunately it is neither of these
Syntonic> I cant be 100% sure it is not 'Falling' neither sounded like 'Calling' but was a bit worse for wear the few times I heard it haha, any other ideas? Thanks again for your help
FYI if its any help it was definitely around april-august 2001 I heard this played almost every other week but never managed to catch the name of it
Probably not, but it says "calling"..
JEO I checked a remix (Ram remix) of this after your recommendation which sounded very similar when the breakdown came in and I thought it might be it but I don't think this is it as vocal is very different plus it seemed to have come out in 2001 as more than 1 DJ was playing it (Scott Bond, Robbie Nelson and the resident of my local nightclub at the time) so that suggested to me it came out around then. Thanks for your help though
Have you gone through Scott Bond and other DJs of that times tracklists?
Yep since tried that, Scott wasn't sure when I asked him but have been told he has been known to keep his cards close to his chest a lot of the time when asked about ID's, Robbie Nelson I did mention to him one and he said he wasnt sure and the local resident DJ I havent seen in about 10 years so a bit stuck on that front too lol. I posted on here in case it may have been something well known that just passed me by, seems it must be rare which makes me want to find it even more haha

Have you checked ALL the remixes of "Solarstone - The Calling" and "Libra ft. Taylor - Calling Your Name"? Scott liked the Stillwaters Remix of "The Calling" and was quite partial to the Granny remix of "Calling Your Name".
Other suggestions are "Aurora - Hear You Calling" or "Kahn - The Calling". You can hear samples and remixes on Beatport. Where did you hear Scott Bond play it in 2001 as his sets were followed quite heavily at that time and were widely documented.
Thanks for the suggestions mate will check these I know it ain't aurora its one of my faves back in the day lol but now you mention it the vocal I remember sounded like jan johnson the more I think of it so maybe it could be a sample of calling your name being used. Will look into this. Heard him at met arena armagh and heard resident of a nightclub in donegal playing it around same time
I'm sure you're sick of Calling Your Name suggestions but just to be sure it could be the Noel Sanger mix.
Not at all mate keep them coming thanks will check this one out when I get home cheers again bud

From 2:28...."Calling, calling, calling"
This specific remix was also made big by the film "American Pie" as you can see here:

Hi Jivemaster, thanks for suggestion again mate, I know this one as well I am afraid. I can categorically state it does not have the "calling your name" vocal throughout the track as then it would have led me to check for any remixes of this tune. Like I say maybe just maybe the sample of "calling" from Calling Your Name is being used as it does sound vaguely similar to this maybe with some kind of echoish effect from what I remember. Looking increasingly like a lost cause this one lol but thanks again for all suggestions guys!
