Big Ears My drum attempt - how to make it better?

Ok, I need advice with my drums!
You can listen my attempt here (my drums is the first part, then comes drumloop from a real song):
[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

1. At the end the real song drums sound much more stronger than mine, yes?

2. I can't get the similar "hit" sound as in the very very end (that "hit" sound is in the end + also from the real song). Is that "hit" sound snare or how should I proceed to get similar "hit" sound? It sounds quite sharp - almost like a kick drum but I don't think it is a kick?

3. I am using Reason + I can send the reason file if that helps?

your using a different kick to the sample, the sample has more midrange in the kick and less low end
your kick is the opposite

also, judging by the wavefore, the sample appears to be compressed but i dont know if your is
compression can make drum loops appear to be louder, thus sounding better

but your not too far off imo

Dont forget, Kong pre-loads with light compression and reverb. Even don't forget that Kong itself has 2 sends, 2 channel inserts and a master insert! Some patches will have FX or Compression on your drums. I make sure to erase that stuff then add my own.

I used Reason's Redrum for these drums. I am not very familiar with the Kong... It needs more learning

evo8, thank you for the advice! Do you think I can edit my kicks with eq or just search for different samples?

Any ideas what is the sound at the very end? That tom/snare type of sound? You can hear it at the very end with no kicks.

would always suggest a different sample first, you can waste so much time trying to force a sample to sound a certain way

sample at the end of the loop could be a synthesized snare or something, hard to say
