Mp3PRO....
So I just got MM7.2 and am considering converting my collection over to save me hella space and a few bucks cuz I wont have to buy another HDD.. Just want some input before I go fer it. Any thoughts on quality loss in conversion, overal quality of Mp3PRO format or anything else?

I've only used the format a little bit for livesets (when DJmixes2k used mp3pro for a few sets). Anyways, I'm not really sure how much better the quality is. There is a possibility that converting an mp3 to an mp3pro file could make it sound bad.. because you a using 2 different types of compression. ie: I've used OGG before and in the readme it says you defintely should not convert mp3 to ogg or vice versa, because they use different compression methods (you could be losing a lot of the sound data because each compression method removes a different part of the data. Just something to think about. I suggest you take maybe 5 or so songs that you have on mp3, and make an mp3pro file of each of them, and compare. Good luck.

Well if they still sound good, and mp3 and mp3pro both use the same area for compression.. then I say go for it.
