Thumbs up Breeder

Is Breeder still making tracks? I read that the reason for this project is to produce tunes for Sasha and Digweed to spin. Is this true?

To name a few tracks:

Tyrantanic - a prog classic IMO
The Chain - always gets me pumped

i wouldnt beleive they produce just for sasha and digweed to play tracks.

I love their productions. they did a remix of Children, its not bad. Did they also produce New York, or am i getting this confused with another producer.

Posted by Maxim303 on Oct-24-2002 06:42:

they did, in fact, start producing with sasha+digweed in mind. other djs, of course, picked up and played their tracks later on. breeder never remixed children and they produced a track caled "NewYorkFM". They split up about a year ago and produce by solo and in collaborations with other producers, but no longer as Breeder. Kinda sucks.. I love their productions and remixes..

Breeder's still around.. his name is Rowan Blades. Started off producing tunes for S&D, didn't really care if they were released or not although they have been released cos they are fucken sick tracks

but the original's were never released...only remixes by other djs (checkout Breeder - NY FM (Van Bellen mix)). I loved their tunes as well...especially The Chain and Twilo Thunder Those tracks destroy me. And yes, they produced tracks for Sasha and Digweed to play...and didn't care if the tracks themselves ever got a release or not, as long as they got spun by S&D

Quoted above "breeder remixed Children"...

...Breeder did in fact remix Children but they/he remixed Tilt's - Children, 2 mixes NOT Robert Miles' - Children.

You must not forget Breeder's remix of Orbital - Nothing Left IMO the best ever Breeder remix.

BTW, does anyone know the Breeder - The Chain / Bedrock - Heaven Scent synergy track??? Carlos Pirez played it at Rennassiance.

fuckin amazing tune...and it got released as well It's funny, cause when I read your post just now, I'm listening to that song, the full rip, in 320KPBS glory heheh

I got the Nothing Left white label about 2 years ago on its first release, it has the Pariah remix on the flip side.

I still get the vinyl out and give it a good hammering... played it recently at a party in a retro-progressive set.

Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Breeder Rmx)(White Label)

i've never managed to find it

anyway...Simon Noble (the other half) is still producin a crap load of stuff too...dont forget bout him...

when i 1st got into this stuff...Breeder was one of the main reasons...these guys have to be two of the best damn producers ever...

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-24-2002 14:55:

Breeder = No longer producing together

Rowan Blades and Simon Noble are breeder. Blades owns a vinyl store in the UK and still produces. Simon Noble is starting to team up with a guy named maurice chakes hence the Maurice & Noble team. I think rowan produces under the name pariah now or is it simon.

Big ups to Twilo Thunder

Posted by uberclkgtr on Oct-24-2002 18:29:

Simon Noble's production work with Maurice is sick. "Faith Delivers" is one of my favorite tracks ever, and their remix of Canteen's "Everyone Else" is mind-blowing.

I'm not too keen on his latest solo track though, the "Redback" one...

Breeder - The Chain, awesome

also stunning remixes:
Grace - Not over yet (Breeder's it is now remix)
+ Brother Brown - Under the Water (Breeder remix)

"Not over yet, remix" maybe their best production ever

Posted by aloep on Oct-24-2002 19:17:

I loved Breeder back in the day and it's a damn shame they aren't producing together anymore. I've heard some of Simon Noble's work with Bill Hamel as 'Mezz' but none of it came close to the incredible sound of Breeder.

Breeder - Twilo Thunder
Breeder - The Chain (Babealicious Mix)
Breeder - New York FM (Tilt Remix)
Evolution - Phoenix (Breeder Mix) So smooth...
Grace - Not Over Yet (Breeder's 'It Is Now' Mix)

Who was behind the incredible 'Babealicious' mix of The Chain? Was this by Breeder themselves or somebody else?

Posted by zarathustra on Oct-24-2002 19:36:

It really sucks that they're not producing together anymore.

I wonder why they split up? They kept making amazing track after amazing track...

Tyrantanic when I heard it on

got me into dance music!

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-24-2002 22:00:

big fan of the breeder tracks/remixes. tryantanic is a great classic track and so is there remix of not over yet... one of the anthems of 1999 i'd say.

Posted by Cobalt on Oct-24-2002 23:37:

Breeder is one of those rare producers of Progressive Trance, creating some of the best tracks made, in my opinion. They captured a very 'underground' sound. Too bad they split -- there was enormous talent.

it's not a remix...it's just has an extended intro created by Sasha and John Digweed I believe.
