Ten Walls' Homophobic Comments= Career done

http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/...edophiles040615

Looks like his gigs are cancelled. He said he cancelled them but who knows. Everyone is going nuts now. You can't take back this type of stuff

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-08-2015 17:17:

It's pretty amazing the power hate has, whether unified within it or against it, to bring people together towards a common goal.

A lot of positive to come out of this - look how it's reminded everyone of what's really important, and why this scene is so special and valuable to us to begin with.

Posted by Nobbie Q on Jun-08-2015 17:52:

That's true I suppose. I think what's disturbing is ppl supporting his views? He apologized but it didn't seem fully genuine and he's postioning gig cancellations as his own doing when Cream fields said they took him off the bill as well as other organizers. It's pretty intense stuff

Posted by Swamper on Jun-08-2015 18:13:

This is the power/pitfall of social media - not only is this guy an idiot but he is especially stupid for putting it up on his personal facebook as a public status. I'm sure, at the time, he thought he was being insightful. I'm more curious as to what was the trigger for it all...also wonder if something was lost in translation to make it sound even worse.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-08-2015 18:28:

I also wonder if, in time, the dance music community will be as open to forgive him as they are to condemn him. A truly open minded community would.

Posted by planetaryplayer on Jun-08-2015 21:32:

people can't have opinions if they are not politically correct I guess. Apparantly he never learned the history of dance music though
I don't like him or his music so I hope he never resurfaces lol. The artists supporting him should go down with him too

Posted by ItalianPoiSon on Jun-08-2015 22:23:

I agree with swamper, its possible there is something that was lost in translation... this guy went from 100 to 0 reaaaaal quick... there's a lot I can say buuuuuuut... simply put... hes a dummy...

this and this

That's the problem with Social Media, It is not the place for people to post there personal view on things, You can always expect consequences in the end.

If he is to come back into the scene, He's going to have to change the name. Cause right now, When someone mentions Ten Walls, They will just be reminded of the negativity surrounding it.

Posted by SPANIARD on Jun-09-2015 00:02:

TigerClaw is still around!

Posted by MSZ on Jun-09-2015 00:03:

I dunno man, Betoko mangled his wife and hes doing fine.

Posted by planetaryplayer on Jun-09-2015 01:36:

To me that feels a bit different. For some reason disrespecting women and abusing them isn't as absurd as voicing opinions on other races or the gay community. Like WTF ?! Diplo made some crazy remarks over a copyright claim and nothing went down with that

Posted by Mach X on Jun-09-2015 03:41:

Yeah, he'll just ghost write for someone, or come up with another alias and not tour, and if successful, once people love the stuff he's producing, they'll forget what he said and be all over it.

Social Media may have created this mess for him, but the Social Media train is always chugging forward, and soon, there will be something else that everyone hates and are angry at, and they'll forget all about this and he'll be back doing something else as someone else.

Also, as stupid as he is for saying it publicly, Evan G had a good point from the devil's advocate perspective (which I always employ in most situations, just because I feel that public trial is incomprehensibly unfair at times.

Whatever, don't necessarily agree with his views, but his productions as Mario Basanov and Ten Walls were great to me. And I am not gonna lie, disappointed not to see him at EI Civic Holiday.

Don't worry people The Junkies will be the replacement!

sad..

Posted by Swamper on Jun-09-2015 20:16:

I miss the times when actual tunes were the thing getting the most attention ...rather than an artist's words, IG/twitter feed, or TMZ-ish clickbait headlines from the new crop of dance blogs.

Posted by ItalianPoiSon on Jun-10-2015 17:06:

yeah right, I don't think there gonna book anybody... sorry locals won't cut it for that tix price... I deff am not going to the August edition if no one gets booked...

Posted by Nobbie Q on Jun-11-2015 01:41:

But they SHOULD book someone or at least give like 2 drinks free. Even more reason to hate these events and Coda/Platform...

You're just a hate machine!!!!

You're always looking for something, like, as if it's always the promoters fault that shit happens. They don't have a god damned crystal ball to know when artists cancel, or some logistics go wrong etc.

You going to call the BBB on them? They promote fuckin' raves FFS!

I'm surprised you didn't put one of your annoying lame GIFs in your post.

I never said they had the ability to predict the future but event organizers should have the ability to adjust with known changes and do what's right for the paying guest. They removed Ten Walls because it didn't fit with the vibe of their event. Okay, great, so where's the replacement act? This event is supposed to have 3 headliners at least and they should find a suitable replacement act as the ticket price and season pass price for these events was based on at least 3 headliners for civic holiday event. Anything less, means they should comp. the guest or do something else at least, like reduce the single day price.

Now they still might do that, maybe I'm jumping the gun here because the single day tix aren't out yet and we haven't heard what they might do, but I'm extremely wary of them. Like we don't know anything yet, so maybe it's wrong of me to assume things...

But sheep like you will support no matter what and make it seem okay for them to do what they're doing. You can be fine with getting ripped off but I won't and will not support these events. And I think it's pretty lame how you discredit this event as just a 'rave'. It shows you have no respect for the scene or the people in it and that because it's a 'rave' that people involved in it are of some low class variety who don't care about quality. I'm just sprouting my opinion on what's right. There's also plenty of ppl on Facebook who are saying the same thing and even on this site. Go attack them.

Dude this sounds perfect for a new festival name!!!

The silver lining is the other two headliners will likely have decent set lengths now

What do you know about booking act/artists/djs? They JUST removed him from the bill. Do you have any idea how far in advance people are booked? The logistics of flight sharing and accommodations and visa issues? And, do know how hard it is to book someone of the calibre of DJs EI books during the Summer without it costing a fortune to get them back here from Europe? Not to mention, it's 2 months away and they're probably busy working on the Canada Day party first.

Sheep? I don't need to support shit. I've been doing this for the past 18 years. I've done my support, and I support when and where I need to. I do however, enjoy a good party in the Summer and I make the most of it. Beer, sun, music, girls, friends. That's all I need. I don't need a function 1 sound system on an island, or gonna get pissy when I have to wait in a line for an extra 10 mins.

And if calling this a rave (loosely) is a discredit, then you've either obliviously not been to a proper one, or even understand the principle of one or the ideals.

You seem to want handouts for everything... sound was choppy, give me something. An artist missed his flight which is beyond the promoter's control, give me something, I waited in line for 20 mins and wasn't teleported directly in front of the stage, give me something, they ran out of beer, give me something.

I honestly think you have not a single ounce of comprehension of how intricate the details and logistics of an event like this requires? You don't just log onto Liason artists website, put in your credit card number and book a dj and that's all.

Once again, the universe gives back whatever you put into it. Noobie Q's attitude, I guarantee, is the number one reason everything sucks for him and he gets excluded all the time. People can sense that shit coming a mile away, and as if anyone wants his kind of bad vibes affecting everyone and everything around him. I bet he hits every red light when driving, too.

And agreed, people always looking for handouts and freebees are fucking parasites.

Take a lesson from Jon Cutler, Noobie Q.
