WOW

And I thought nothing beats "Gouryella comeback"

WOW

I'm very excited. "Rendezvous" is some of the best albums I've heard

WOW

i'm a bit skeptic, I haven't liked anything he's done in recent years. But we'll see. Reviving LSG makes me think he's decided he's done making crappy techno.

Posted by enydo on Jun-13-2015 21:50:

We can only hope.

Posted by RebeL9 on Jun-13-2015 22:47:

About time. So bored of his soulless techno he's been doing for a couple of years now.

Posted by enydo on Jun-14-2015 15:28:

YOu're so right, it's just not that simple.

Posted by Woony on Jun-14-2015 17:32:

i d

I don't know, there's a LOT of guys well over 40 still cranking out great music. I think Lieb has just been artistically confused for the past decade.

Beethoven completed his 9th Symphony when he was in his 50s, you cretin.

Posted by blackplasma on Jun-14-2015 19:30:

Yeah but it took him 9 gos didn't it.

I liked his ambient album from last year, "Inside Voices". But those techno tracks yeah, just a waste of time.

Also even in the L.S.G. prime he was releasing stuff like "Russian Elements", "Subraumstilmulation" etc :P

He probably have a lot of unused material from back in the day that could be good today.

What a load of crap.
Steve Roach wrote his album Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces back when he was 47 years old and he wrote dynamic stillness back when he was 55 years old. John Williams composed the original jurassic park theme when was 61 and he composed duals of the fate 6 years later.

Oliver Lieb thanks very much everybody... wink emoticon
well it is 2015 and I am not just continuing very commercial.
the maxi will be in the "blueprint" mood and we will see but for sure in the future somehow melodic and trancy without beeing cheese and just a mass-sound.
the album will be a bit like into deep...I already posted a video with a teaser before when I was around 50 minutes in total but now will keep the track i posted and do the first 25 minutes again and the rest...
L.S.G. and the rest of my projects were never to be as commercial as possible just for success...rather my own sound where I tryed to stay upfront

I've thoroughly enjoyed his later releases so definitely looking forward to this.

LMAO I wasn't referring to just club material man just music in general. Age is only a number. Personally, I wish this would be a better return to an alias, most of the returns to their old aliases have left me sour and bitter and disappointed.

i really hope he puts some effort into it and does this project for us old school fans, as well as just sticking up for the genre of real trance. the way it is now 2-3 years it will be an extinct genre

Not what I was expecting, that clubby sound like he uses a lot from his regular productions is still present with those familiar L.S.G. tones and eerie trancey pads but ultimately cheap feeling.

His funky/quirky clubby techno style carried over too much into the project.

Posted by RebeL9 on Nov-30-2015 08:33:

Not impressed at all.
I haven't been a fan of Oliver Liebs "new" sound during the last couple of years. And indeed it carried over into these LSG-tracks.
It totally lacks the trance elements from previous LSG-projects.

Posted by kosmotika on Nov-30-2015 08:59:

Damn, how disappointing. I saw the thread title and threw on "I'm Not Existing" out of anticipation; I've really enjoyed LSG's releases and I'll never forget when my remix of "The Hidden Sun of Venus" got some small popularity...but sadly, this is really slow, weak sounding stuff typical of today's electronic musicians. In some ways, I'm glad some of my favorites have hung up the boots when they were still good.

Posted by trancedanne on Nov-30-2015 10:53:

Im not disappointed, this is just the type of bullshit i expected..

Posted by Woony on Nov-30-2015 15:17:

Jesus christ, that's bad.

Posted by Tom Yelland on Nov-30-2015 18:55:

some nice ideas but yeah too much of his newer techier side present to make the tracks standout for me.

Posted by SPANIARD on Nov-30-2015 19:00:

Volpe is ok as filler (even then I'm being generous). No clue what relationship it has to the LSG sound. Probably just a marketing ploy to get everyone's attention.

Posted by Kilixpree on Nov-30-2015 19:19:

why the fuck did he used his LSG alias to produce this? wtf

the 'volpe' track isnt the worst thing ever, but it's so uninspired, holy shit.

Posted by Sykonee on Nov-30-2015 19:59:

Volpe is fine, if you've ever wanted to hear L.S.G. synths with a tech-haus groove. It's, um, different?

That other track just sounds like a Solieb leftover.

Posted by ucforange on Nov-30-2015 20:32:

I'm confused as to how this could be considered trance. And I'm even more confused as to why he reverted to his LSG alias to release it.

That first one wasn't bad but it's something that gets played in the first 90 minutes of the night, when the club is still filling up. The other one...uhh ok.

Some boring shit. The electronic music universe has plenty of tracks that sound like those two, not sure Lieb needed to resurrect the LSG alias to release more of it. Bizarre.
