**** What's the purpose of Automation ***???
HIYALL,
I'd like to know what the purpose of automation iz?? When to use it and how do you do it?? Thnx again?

Automation is very useful when maiking tunes. You can use it to control filters and volumes etc, so you can fade synths in or make effects
automation = programming things you 'd normaly do with your hands
eg: filter cutoff, volume, but also changing from patch, track mutes, tempo changes...

Yup, automation is an amazing tool in the mixing process. I use it for everything, from controlling FX to EQ to correcting volume, pan/placement...the list goes on (for both audio & MIDI). Logic Audio 5.x has some amazing new automation routines built in that I am just loving to DEATH. Nuendo is pretty cool too.
