Posted by Lira on Oct-25-2002 14:23:

Swamper must be working on it

Posted by Illusion on Oct-25-2002 15:15:

yeh.. hate to be a nagging bitch but it's just that he said "I'll make it today or tomorrow", and that was last week.

Posted by Lira on Oct-25-2002 15:27:

Give the poor man a break

I guess he's busy getting a new server for the forums and uploading some more mp3's

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-25-2002 15:43:

Give the guy a break, appreciate what you have and you'll enjoy what he'll bring more when it comes, it's a harder job than u'd think to run this place, so hats off to him for sticking with it

Perhaps if you are extremely inmature and rash. Most of us, however, will probably be able to discuss matters important to everybody in a calm and polite manner. If it can't happen here, it won't ever happen, and that would be a shame, and if it is silenced to death due to PC-censorship and superficial community spirit it will be a loss for all of us.

Agreed! One of the first things you're taught when entering the scientific community is that you should never ever promiser something you cannot keep. I respect Swamper in every way possible, but he should not promise something ready for some day if it cannot be done. In that case I'd rather have a realistic estimate than checking every day (yes, I'm a sad specimen of the human race) and be disappointed.
At least a note saying "something has gone wrong - it will take a while" tells us that we are not forgotten.
