In addition to the shooting being broadcast live on the news, the guy was himself filming a video as he shot them to death, and posted it to Twitter immediately after.

Pretty clear that he was a Christopher Dorner style person.
Black guy who has been given the green light from society to interpret every bump in his professional life as a manifestation of racism, rather than a result of his own failings.
He must've been truly awful at his job(s), considering how incredibly low the standards are for blacks in just about any profession, and how terrified companies are of discrimination suits, and how desperate they are to hire blacks for "diversity."

I am a racist.
I prefer my race to other races, and it impacts me more emotionally when members of my race are killed by members of another race.
This is based on very fundamental group instincts which anyone prior to the last few decades would have taken completely for granted.
Most people on the planet continue to take such feelings completely for granted! Racial solidarity is universal. Racial solidarity makes a person a racist by the definitions used today. By that definition, yea, I'm a racist.
And completely at peace with being such.
Anyway... this is an infuriating incident.
He clearly sees himself as justified based on the fact that she was "racist." He's like Christopher Dorner all over again.
It's a good thing white people haven't gotten it in their head that it's justified to shoot black people for being racist toward whites, or I'm not sure we'd have any black people left!
I find it strange that he and so many other blacks can be so upset about whites being racist toward them, when anti-white feelings and slurs are so completely commonplace within the black community.

Statement from Alison Parker's father:
Barbara, Drew, and I are numb, devastated and I find my grief unbearable, Andy Parker said in a statement to the Bulletin. Alison was our bright, shining light and it was cruelly extinguished by yet another crazy person with a gun. She excelled at everything she did and was loved by everyone she touched. She loved us dearly, and we talked to her every single day. Not hearing her voice again crushes my soul. Our family can only take solace in the fact that although her life was brief, she was so happy with it. She lived it to the fullest and her spirit will always be with us.
Comment by Alison Parker's fianc:
"We were together almost nine months, he wrote. It was the best nine months of our lives. We wanted to get married. . . . She was the most radiant woman I ever met. And for some reason she loved me back. She loved her family, her parents and her brother."
What a tragedy. What a beautiful young woman who, even just in her pictures, you can tell was one of those people who exuded positivity.
What a tragedy for that young man who intended to have a life with her.

I don't think you know what race means, but if you are referring to humans there is only one race. But anyway, nice job drawing premature conclusions

this shooting is a result of a disgruntled ex-employee looking for revenge.
Also consider this a warning, racist posts will not be tolerated on these forums, if you wish to continue posting, then dump the racism.

He apparently references Charleston and being gay in the manifesto. And being "a powder keg ready to explode". The bullets were for Charleston.
I'd say I was right on the money.
He did turn out to be attacking whites because they were white (he may have had other motivations to attack these particular whites, but the Charleston reference seals it. They were killed for being representatives of the white race.)

""Scientists from the Beijing Genomics Institute last month discovered another striking instance of human genetic change. Among Tibetans, they found, a set of genes evolved to cope with low oxygen levels as recently as 3,000 years ago. This, if confirmed, would be the most recent known instance of human evolution."
"The trends are eye opening: Athletes of African ancestry hold every major male running record, from the 100 meters to the marathon...
...Over the last seven Olympic mens 100-meter races, all 56 finalists have been of West African descent. Only two non-African runners, Frances Christophe Lemaire, who is white, and Australias Irish-aboriginal Patrick Johnson, have cracked the top 500 100-meter times. There are no elite Asian sprinters..."
"Carriers of the gene variation showed significantly more activity in a region of the brain responsible for regulating emotions and evaluating both pleasure and threat. Todd believes this may help explain why some people are more susceptible to PTSD and intrusive memories following trauma."
"The ADRA2b deletion variant appears in varying degrees across different ethnicities. Although roughly 50 per cent of the Caucasian population studied by these researchers in Canada carry the genetic variation, it has not been found to be prevalent in other ethnicities. For example, one study found that just 10 per cent of Rwandans carried the ADRA2b gene variant."
"An association between the 2R allele of the VNTR region of the gene and an increase in the likelihood of committing serious crime or violence has been found"
"The frequency distribution of variants of the MAO-A gene differs between ethnic groups. 59% of Black men, 54% of Chinese men, 56% of Maori men, and 34% of Caucasian men carry the 3R allele. 5.5% of Black men, 0.1% of Caucasian men, and 0.00067% of Asian men carry the 2R allele."
Now, a lot of people do like to argue that "race" is a muddy term because it isn't exact. I'd say in response to that that almost nothing in biology is exact, even species. There are animals which are considered entirely different species and yet they can reproduce with one another, such as lions and tigers.
Even horses and donkeys which have a different number of chromosomes can reproduce despite this:
If you or anyone else here has decided that the word "race" is not to your liking, that's fine. Think of it as humanity having some primary genetic clusters which evolved separately for tens of thousands of years living very different types of lives in very different environments. None of that is even disputable, it is reality.

This happened close to where i go to school at . Virgnia Tech
This sicko also did something else. He recorded the whole video from his perspective. It leaked on the internet earlier. Again this is not the news video. This is the 1st person video
I watched it earlier. Will link if it hasnt been removed yet

WARNING VIDEO IS GRAPHIC
Dont know how they didnt see the guy? Is it because they are trained as reporters not to look or bother with people walking by?
Any thoughts on that.

I thought that was a little odd as well.
Neither she, nor the interviewee, nor the cameraman notice this at all.
Yet, it seems impossible that they weren't at least aware of HIS presence there, even if the gun eluded notice. Maybe they just perceived him out of the periphery of their vision.
The cameraman may have been totally unaware, seeing as how he was looking through a viewfinder.
So what I am getting at is... I wonder if his presence there was actually not unexpected?
Or maybe she was just thinking to herself "okay I can see there's some person there, but I have to keep total focus on this interview because I'm live on air" and her focus on doing her job correctly tragically contributed to her fate, because she wasn't even able to attempt to cry out, warn the other two, etc.
Extremely infuriating incident, very sad.

Also fuck the racist guy here .
Pretty sure this in no way was racialy otivated. Seriously surprised to see a guy like you on TA considering our love for music is what unites us and brings us all together.
Also odd considering the music we all love was larlegy the result of inncer city african americans and latinos.
Also pretty sure your assumptions are wrong. At work right now but will look into some research tonight and provide some examples. Cant right now because at work .
And also you cited wikipedia as one of your sources..... which makes me a little suspicious.
Not to mention you provided a lame animal example of donkeys and horses , when humans are 99.9% similar from a genome perspective. Horses and donkeys are not. Thats as bad as using the different dog breeds example.
It seems like you are using any excuse and also very misleading inferences and examples to push your racist agenda.

You missed the part where I was specifically using them as examples because they are so genetically and chromosomally distant and yet can breed anyway? The point was that people have often appealed to the fact that all humans can produce offspring as one of their main evidences that we're all one race. It undermines that point.
It also goes to show that genetic distance and level of difference aren't always as connected as you might think.
You could have a lot of genetic difference but something which ultimately seems extremely similar.
For example, I've heard examples of birds that appeared identical but, upon gene sequencing, turned out to be different species of bird. They couldn't be distinguished if you just observed them though.
You've probably seen lots of nature documentaries where they talk about some pair of species having been THOUGHT to be extremely closely related, but genetics and molecular biology had proven that such and such was actually most closely related to some other thing entirely, etc.
And then there's the other side of that coin. We are exceptionally close to chimpanzees genetically, but that tiny tiny difference amounts to incredibly significant differences in the end product. It's the difference between pulling termites out of a log with a long stick and landing a man on the moon.
Or dogs, who are all considered to be one species. There is an incredibly small amount of actual genetic difference between dog breeds, but within that very very tiny tweak to their genetics, you can have results of dramatically different intelligence, physical shape, behavioral tendencies, etc.
So, again, the point is that a very large genetic difference can have a very small practical difference and a very small genetic difference can have an enormous practical difference.
Humans being 99.9% genetically similar does not preclude the possibility of dramatic, incredibly significant differences between racial groups.
