Lost reFX Nexus 2 elicenser dongle!!!

I didn't think it would happen to me but during a house move I lost my elicenser dongle. This was an expensive piece of hardware and one that reFX want to charge me 200 to replace!

I have a macbook and there are no available licenses available online - I don't want to have to pay again for another dongle!

Any thoughts?

Anyone had the same experience?

You're screwed.

Refx are ruthless with this kind of thing.

It's pay up or lose the plugin unfortunately

Reason #289 to fucking detest licence dongles

if youve already bought the software then i know what id be doing........

True evo - I think Richie (L4C) buys the software then runs a "russian" version just so as not to have to fuck about with dongles.

Those last few words didn't come out as expected

Dongles are fine on a desktop, I have both mine plugged into a USB hub and they've been that way for half a decade without hiccup.

I'd not want to take one on the road with me though. Fook that.

Anyway, there are no Russian versions of Cubase, so I know that there's no riff raff using it. Which makes me like it more.

manuel don't give a fuck

not quite rann. It was a software workaround that allowed the dongle to be shared. But with os updates , it was not really worth the bugs. no russians involved. Although that sounds sexy.

your insureance might cover it but i'm gonna go out on a limb as assume it is probably not worth the increase in premiums.

Also , lost techno synth doesn't look good to a claims agent/
I sold my Waldorf Q to the guy. I was late sending it for some reason and he thought i ripped him off. I wish i did. Back in 2002. He got a great price and sent me preset patches to offset the deal. Nobody else was byting. It was when people stopped spending money on stuff and the dance scene was going thru a recession.
