Anyone else planning on going? Should be a great time!

Hope presale is priced like last year. And now I know not to bring a coat!

going back to the real one in Mannheim again next year. best party on the planet. unless youre local, for me it doesnt make sense to spend the $ in nyc for what this costs and not put it towards going back to germany again in 2016.

Presale ticket was $140 last year. Peanuts compared to an overseas trip. I'm shooting for Sonar, Ibiza and Awakenings in June though.

Overseas is actually not as expensive as you think. It can be done for super cheap. My last trip for 2 with plane tickets, accommodations and everything else was $1600 to amsterdam for 6 days

My overall Time Warp trip to Brooklyn was maybe $300-$400 last year. It's not the same kind of expense.

Classic TA: whenever the US gets something halfway decent..."overseas version is better."

I wouldn't mind doing this. NYC is a super cheap trip, if you p(l)ay your cards right. Perfect time of the year, too.

Besides the coat situation being a mess, and the sound being a little less than perfect day 1, the value for this is really really good both for the experience, music and atmosphere. I have never been to TW in Mannheim and I am certain that it doesnt come close in comparison, but for a little 2 day stint in Brooklyn in November I think its well worth it. Also i think that they would have the coat situation a little better this year than last as it was a little bit better on night 2. Considering the lineup from last year, even if they brought the exact same roster, I'll be there.

exactly. a lot of people think europe is way more expensive than it is. unless youre going in summer, when costs double, europe planned right is very feasible.

my overall trip to Time Warp Mannheim this year was $2100 for 5 days. had we booked our flight 4 weeks earlier it would have been $400 cheaper.

A tip for people looking for flights coming from someone who deals with Online travel agents day in and day out. Search Wednesday afternoons in a private browser so your IP address isn't stored. Best flight prices are usually on Wed after 2pm 21 days before departure

Especially with the euro being weak right now it's super affordable and once you're over there it's pretty fucking cheap. Festival beers are like 2 tickets which is around 2 or 3 euro

Been awhile since I posted on here but since we are talking about cheap air travel check out: WOW Air. It's relatively new airline that started operating out of Boston and DC back in April or so. I bought my ticket to go with Chillen to ADE this year a month back and only cost me $547 roundtrip. It's sort of like Spirit but international travel. In the same sense as spirit they will be charging extra for just about everything but its still some of the best prices I've seen from Boston to anywhere internationally. Looking to go to Paris next summer during the UEFA Euro tournament!

This. When I went to Amsterdam for ADE 2013, I thought it was damned cheap. My flight roundtrip was $690 thanks to Aer Lingus. Beers at parties were no more than 3 euros tops. Restaurants were less expensive than in Orlando and Tampa, and definitely less than places like Miami and New York. I'm talking 6 euros for a really good house-made burger and handcut fries. Tips aren't expected but I left 15% anyways. Stayed at a really sick hotel on the waterfront in Amsterdam (Moevenpick) for 80 USD. Something like that property would've been 200+ in MIami.

another good thing to use. is go to airfarewatchdog.com and setup the route you are looking for and the site will send you weekly emails with the lowest fares for that destination. Just saw AMS come across there at 480$ roundtrip from Miami.

I actually never said anything was better. I said an overseas trip isn't expensive like you think.

This is worth the price of admission just for Troxler b2b Jamie Jones. Shit is gonna be fire

Lol to be fair I've seen Troxler where he was boring as fuck but lately he's been good. Really good. His b2b with the Martinez Bros at Space during WMC was nuts.

Posted by gimmebeatz on Sep-18-2015 12:20:

only upside for TW NYC is that there are far less DJs and floors so youre chance of catching everyone you want to see is much better. its absolutely impossible to see everyone in germany but thats also why its the #1 techno event on the planet. im going to have to choose different DJs when i head back to mannheim again in 2016.

Posted by Donnie Gryphon on Sep-18-2015 15:29:

Jamie will keep troxler moving along. Jamie brings the best out of everyone.

Who can't Mr. Jones play b2b with because i sure haven't seen it.

Posted by Skeptic on Sep-19-2015 22:02:

I hope they bring Blind Observatory, the best current techno act.

Funny you say that because I just saw a flyer with Jamie playing B2B with Capriati. Not sure how well that would flow

I think really well actually. I remember hearing a Capriati mix from a Music On event (Marco Carola) and it was really summery and housey but with a minimal vibe. If he plays anything like that that show will be fire.

Have airfare and place booked. 10 minute walk to Bedford Armory won't be terrible
