I would like to know how much money have all u Djs spent on your equipment. I mean everything including speakers and amps etc...

nah, it's abut $1700 US, for decks, needles, mixer, cans(crappy ones), a sampler, and all the cords and crap to hook it together.

I thjink some newbies should read this thread before they come in here saying, I have $250 what should i buy for DJing?

i didn't include the two stereos and 4 speakers either, that's another $1000 CAD, but i would have probably bought those anyway.

so about US$1500. have a crappy denon rackmount cd decks...worth about 600 but i got it for free from a friend. and a numark 1885, worth about 800 but in desperate need of refurbishing.

Not enough. About $3000AU or $1500US. 2x1210 Numark 3002x + 1210 headphones. About $4000AU on records.
Am stressing over whether or not to but a record for $150. Really want it but I'm unemployed and can't really afford it because as you see I need to save for a new mixer.

not necessarly...it takes time to buy equipment..unless you've got loads of $$$ readily available

it took me a while to get to where i am and i started out with not the best stuff...so i was in the under $2000 catagory and i was really into it

Most of u guys say not including vinyl. I have about $20,000 - $30,000 in canadian dollars in Vinyls . Vinyl doesn't count in this post. Considering walking up to an installation. There's no records there.
