And the fine print (or carving) reads:

When you want to kill somebody and still enjoy golf, blonde hos etc afterwards, check your bank account beforehand to make sure you have enough to hire Johnnie Cochran & co.

Question 3rd Question

oke next one........more difficult

By which names were president Hoover's policies known during the 1932 elections?

Posted by Aviston on Apr-25-2001 19:52:

Ummm, no clue. Hoover's slogan in 1928 was "A chicken in every pot, a car in every garage". He had the unfortunate luck of being president during the 1929 stock market crash. In 1932 he ran against Franklin D. Roosevelt and lost. FDR's policies in 1932 were called The New Deal, but I haven't the slightest on what Hoover's were called.

Ummmm, you mean FDR's policies, the New Deal. Hoover ran on a platform stating that government non-intervention in business, or lassiez faire, would eventually lead the American economy out of the Depression. Hoover lost badly because many thought he was a "do-nothing" president.

Quizes don't generally work when the tester doesn't have a firm grip on the subject matter. :-P

Read This! sorry dude

NO dude I ment Hoover's policies during the elections.....

the policies were known as: a chicken in every pot
a car in every garage

people didn't believe in the promised self - reliance ideas
of hoover...
they trusted the new deal of FDR

Posted by tu_face on Apr-26-2001 15:18:

im not trying to benasty, but...

my earlier point has just been proved, an american history quiz yeah, ooooh im soo excited by some old presidents policies during an election or whatever, what about the civil war? isnt that a tad more interesting?

peace

Posted by Kartikeya on Apr-26-2001 17:41:

Red face

dude if you aren;t interested don't take part of the thread
......you aren't forced to take part of it

But indeed it's quite interesting if we make a civil war quiz......for the die hard history freaks

oke then ..... you get the honour to make the first question

Posted by tu_face on Apr-28-2001 00:45:

lol u really think i know much about the civil war? lol... i wouldnt know where to start askin ppl questions on that

im not dissin the thread, im jus tryin to get abit more interestin stuff in it... american history yeah, which is more interesting, old presidents election policies or the way the 'pilgrims' and pioneers of the america's slaughered thousands of innocent natives over a bit of land that wasnt theirs...

peace
