I got a wine of the month club membership for my birthday. Two bottles of wine delivered to my door every month, plus a cheese pairing!

^^^ Getting my husband a PS4 for Christmas. Was debating between that or a drone. But I think I'll save the drone for his bday.

Too easy.

I actually like going to the store there's a small family owned place that does wine tastings.

Ew, buy second hand? no thanks, when you have this kind of money, half the joy is knowing that no pleb got their hands on it before you.

Like owning a second hand Aston. Only 30k millionaires / Eric does that shit.

We spend spend a fair amount on our employees as a thank you (Jewelry, Hotel stays etc) at Xmas but really don't buy much for each other - just seems frivolous. Would prefer to spend it on us going somewhere like a beach holiday or skiiing or something.

Except the wines included in the membership are not available/or are in limited supply in stores and/or are brand new products. Comes with profile sheets and options to re-order any bottle at a special price, too!

Plus, free.

This is actually a genuinely helpful gift idea. My girlfriend really, really loves wine. I can only find one in the UK that delivers two bottles rather than whole cases, though, and not really any English-language reviews (seems to be a French company). I'm a bit wary of forking out for it and finding out all their wines are mediocre French piss.

The one I'm in only includes wines of a certain rating, based on a system used here in Ontario. I can only assume most of these membership clubs are the same, but who knows. I mean there has to be incentive for people to join aside from the convenience of having wine show up to your house every month.

In the one I've seen they get picked by a sommelier. If you can trust the sommelier then it's a good way of trying loads of wines you might not otherwise sample. Hence why I'd like to see some reviews.

Yeah most def. The profile sheets that come with mine include reviews by top reviewers. Pretty excellent gift all around, really.

I can translate the reviews if you want.

Do the office chair, yo.

It's one of those things you hate buying for yourself but having a good one is fucking priceless.

I need a new one

I hate to think what you do in it.

I want to be able to compute from the comfort of my bed especially because... winter is coming.

I wish I had a computer chair. I have a hard colonial chair.
