I’m excited to finally be revealing to you all the news that Gouryella will be making its stage debut in 2016! Having spent a long time over the past 5 to 6 years thinking about Gouryella and working on ideas but not quite finding the right production that I felt was suitable for the project. It was a really pleasing moment when I unveiled ‘Anahera’ as the first Gouryella single after such a long time.

I’m excited to finally be revealing to you all the news that Gouryella will be making its stage debut in 2016!

Being a project so dear to my heart and one I know you guys are equally passionate about, I can honestly say, I was a little nervous about what the reaction would be after 13 years of no new music from me under the Gouryella name. However, the love and excitement you guys showed around ‘Anahera’ was truly inspiring, and really cemented my decision to write a new chapter in the story of Gouryella.

I’ve always loved the musical qualities that make up the Gouryella sound, and in the time when so much trance is swaying too far to EDM, I want to bring big melodies back to a scene I’ve spent my entire career championing. Gouryella will allow me the opportunity to exercise not only my desire to bring back a sentiment to the scene that I think is lacking in some parts, but equally deliver a new live concept that will represent both the music and visuals, as well as enable me to detail further the mysterious naming which has always made up Gouryella and the titles of the singles.

I look forward to sharing this experience with you!

Don't know if Gouryella is needed to bring back those melodies, but melodies always are good

Anahera was decent...nothing great, but ok. I think it would have been much better without the modern methods of overproduction.
I did notice that the bridge synth was pretty much the same melody as from System F - The Sonnet and I believe the lead melody was from one of his older songs as well.

The only good thing about Anahera is the progression. Track builds up two times and has two breakdowns which sets it apart from all the other uplifting stuff that the market is saturated with.

I thought the same at first cuz it wasn't clean and polished like old school starecase, but than it grew on me and it was better than all of the beatport trance on the top 100 list if you needed to find a track fast.

I actually think Uplifting is having a nice resurgence now, there's a lack in new sounds\styles but i'm enjoying the new stuff after a looooong time.

It's nice that Ferry decided to comeback for a bit, but it's not going to shake the earth.
