have any of you ever looked up at the stars ?
How many ta'ers are space geeks ? i just watched interstellar the other day , and wow what a movie, it was really inspiring and made me want to be an amateur astronomer.
we cant be all alone, i keep hearing about these planets in the news that are earth like , and it just makes me wonder how long before we ever come in contact with those that might be inhabiting those places.
I live in/grew up in a rural area, and we constantly did star gazing when I was a kid. It was an annual rite of passage to kick it in lawn chairs and watch the Perseid meteor shower.

Fuck Interstellar.
Get some Neil Degrasse Tyson in your life; he's the man.
Huge space nerd. I can tell you all about quantum mechanics, cosmology & theoretical physics. Itll all be wrong of course, but I can still tell you all about it.
And to echo what jack said above, the universe is so stupidly big the chances of us ever being able to contact anyone is remote indeed.
I went to wish upon a star one night. I then realized I had billions and billions to choose from, each providing more wishes than I could ever exploit in my lifetime. So I went back inside and turned on all the lights.

Eric I hadn't seen you in so long I started to think you got sent to the box.
Nothing makes me hate something that I love than listening to a bunch of fagot nerds emote over it.
Interstellar was shite
Once, when I took acid, the stars were falling down. Siiiiiiiiiiick
Lovehate you look like Murph from interstellar!

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an entertaining guy to listen to but recently he's been putting his foot in his mouth quite frequently. Hard to take him seriously anymore. He's hurt his credibility.
A black man can't catch a break, with or without a PhD in Astrophysics.

He's famous for his ability to deliver information that would otherwise be either too complex or not interesting enough to people who wouldn't otherwise seek it out. At a time when most people don't give a fuck about space, including our government, I think it's refreshing to at least have a public figure like him talking about the cosmos in a fun and fascinating way.

if you have ever wondered about those news stories of scientist finding earth like planets 100s of lightyears away and thought to yourself or felt any uncertainty about it , this is the video to watch.
