another eco thread.
did you know the goverment will pay for 50% the cost of converting ur roof to solar panelling in the UK. which provides energy for heating and electrics. good idea i say, even tho it is expensive, but no more power bills, hehe. cant see it taking off yet like.
also another bitch, why do green peace wankers not like nuclear power, would they rather tonnes and tonnes of coal be burnt instead? wankers.
i like to make sure the earth is in alright shape, but i HATe greenpeace. they are thick as fuck!
The solar panel bit sounds like a good idea. Wonder if Canada has a similar policy. Probably not though, cause they just got off their asses recently to ratify the Kyoto Accord guidelines.
I agree with you about Greenpeace too, cant stand those guys.
thats awsome to hear the UK is doing the solar pannel on roofs thing
in israel it is law for all roofs to provide some sort of solar panel to either provide electricity or to heat water.
also cool to see is when road lights and roadside telephones are powered by solar panels.
i always wondered why solar energy isnt expanding as fast as it should ... its great
and btw i also hate greenpeace
they're also strongly agianst geneticly engineered foods, as if theres enough food to feed the world as it is now they come down and diss technology's solution to the problem

environmentalist canvassers piss me off!
Yeh ste, what wankers they are for not supporting nuclear. They wont be happy unless we all live in the sticks with little lantins.
wankers
I hate greenpeace the mostest!
Iceland and Greenpeace are bitter enemies, thanks to those stupid fucks destroying a whale research center and sinking two whaling ships! They are so stupid, Iceland has some of the healthiest fish and whale stocks in the world, because we've had quotas since the 50's, way before people thought it was necessary.
Anyways, yes Greenpeace can suck my hairy balls, lets not forget the disaster they caused in Greenland thanks to the seal clubbing fiasco.. Yeah save the pretty seals, but lets destroy countless fishing villages and ruin the life of countless Eskimo's who lived off the land and only hunted what they needed. Oh and not to mention after the hunting stopped the seal population sky rocketed to way above normal levels and that caused a fish disease, thus hurting the fish stocks around Greenland.
All and all they did a top notch job those Greenpeace morons
yey everybody vent ur hate for greenpeace here! what cock heads!
I consider myself kinda green, but i dislike those greepeace guys too..
check this funny article.. :

dont get me started on those socio-liberal-domocrat greenpeace activists...dear lORD!!! the other day, i'm walking down University Avenue by my Uni and there are these ppl in Greenpeace shirts on asking me to sign their petition. I kindly reject only to get an awful stare and ugly facial expression directed at me.
wankers
What bothers me most is how little the peons know about the movement and what exactly greenpeace is doing. You ask them specific questions and they answer with mindless yarn like "Hey man we are fighting for the enviornment"
I'm all for conservation, cleaning up the enviornment, etc... But Greenpeace is like an extremist group and anything done to the extreme is bad in life.
ha!
try living in Australia! our government is so narrow-minded about the environment they won't sign the Kyoto Protocol because it might cost jobs! LOL
this is also the same government that cuts down some of the most beautiful trees in the world for .. get this, woodchipping!
Yeah John Howard's a fool. It's not as though we were actually going to suffer by implementing the Kyoto protocol either: while most countries had to reduce emmissions over the next 20 or so years, we were one of the few allowed to increase emmissions. But if Dubya isn't participating, it can't be a good idea can it John?
Oh and Greenpeace? I'm a member of the Conservation Foundation (another one of those "socio-liberal-democrat" organisations - stereotype me how you will
) and while all I do is send em $15 a month in exchange for the pamphlet, I am very aware - that although they have the same basic aims as Greenpeace - that the CF cannot stand Greenpeace. The two are at loggerheads (excuse the pun) all the time, and while I'm not sure why Greenpeace hates the organisation I'm a part of, I know that my organisation dislikes Greenpeace - as you have all been saying - due to their somewhat extemist methods of getting the message across. All it really does, in the end, is convince people of their stereotype that anyone interested in preserving the environment must be a sub-intelligent, neo-hippie cowboy, intent only on pissing people off.
Greenpeace lost the plot somewhere though..... presumably when they decided it would be more fun to commit acts somewhat akin to "eco-terrorism" instead of peaceful protesting and investing money into conservation schemes.
Absolute madness.
