Hello!

ive seen people complaining about these threads so i was just wondering how the majority felt peace!!

Posted by Pointy on Apr-25-2001 03:32:

they're extremely pointless and i dont bother opening them

Posted by Mark on Apr-25-2001 06:37:

i see these threads at other forums too and i find them ALL ANNOYING. they are pointless and who cares if you are new, just contribute to the forums and people will know you. i just don't bother opening them.

Question Way to make newbies feel welcome........

Wow such friendly people here ... Whats wrong with people introducing themselves... Jeesh.....

We need to work on our people skills me thinks...

Posted by -=WVG=- on Apr-25-2001 11:34:

Oh I dont care about that kinda threads...It's just nice for the pplz to get a first thread (and a 1st post...)

Posted by Blik on Apr-25-2001 11:46:

I find it very anoying that everyone posts that shit in the "Music Discussion". Are They blind!!.......

Posted by Henkie_henk on Apr-25-2001 12:21:

Did you put this: "they piss me off yet i still open and read them and sometimes write rude lil comments about them being there" there for me ??

Nah i dont really mind.. but sometimes i like to have a smart remark

its nice to say your new etc.. and welcome em.. but there are so many.. Swamper could make a new section a "welcome newbie" section. Newbies can say "hi" im new bla bla..

It would be nice stop the "hi im new" stuff..at least dont make a new thread for it.. but whats the point of saying this?? probably none of the newbies will read this

Posted by IbAmbient on Apr-25-2001 14:42:

any TA is welcome by me...newbie or oldie...it's all good.
It's called the freedom of choice...if a post looks interesting, open it...if not, don't open it. It's not like their posts are a virus or something. late

Posted by Sugarbean on Apr-25-2001 15:07:

Read This!

i dont care either way...just another post i guess

Posted by Fatboy on Apr-25-2001 15:42:

Talking

Well, i replied to a few of them, but lately there's just been too many, so i often don't bother answering. Don't think they should post it in the Music Discussion anyways.
Lol, I saw on another forum a thread named "All newbies say hello in here", maybe it should be done here too

there is nothing wrong with introducting themselves but the point is its not necessary. if EVERY newbie came along and posted welcome threads, this place would be flooded by it.

and no i do not need to work on my 'people' skills thank you very much.

heh if that happened then nobody in their right mind who is a normal ta poster would go there, and welcome 20 people, each with their own thread lol.

i love the idea.

Posted by Tranex02 on Oct-26-2002 15:18:

Well, they're pointless, i know not all 12 thousand members on this forum posted a 'hi i'm a newbie' thread!
I just ignore them...

Posted by Odyne on Oct-28-2002 16:40:

just try to be friendly, if you don't like them, just don't respond and they will go down on the list of threads..

Posted by Flipper01 on Oct-28-2002 22:12:

In the holland forum we have a special section where people can introduce themselves, very handy!!

Posted by PeacefulWarrior on Oct-29-2002 02:24:

they're just trying to be friendly
