Question Help with bt albums

Im a huge fan of pvd vorsprung triple cd and noticed plenty of bt on it. I was wondering what albums bt has,if anyone likes them and especially if they are mixed into each track or a second or two break.
(For cdj use.)ed

Bt singles that are worth owning perhaps? I know of remember, what else?

Thanks

Movement in still life, his latest album was released as a double cd. 1 cd was mixed, while the othere was unmixed. However, im not sure if its available because I have it on mp3, I didnt actually go to the store and buy it. So, I guess there are copies out there which are unmixed for sure.

Another of his albums is ESCM I dont have that, so i cant comment on if its mixed or unmixed.

My copy of Movement in Still Life only has one CD
But I do have the Still Movement in Life EP on vinyl
I think BT has 3 albums the above mentioned, ESCM, and another who's name escapes me.
I could be wrong though, as I often am.

i agree, Vorsprung Dyk Technik CD1 is one of my favorites, from memory at least four BT tracks alone...

come on, who can doubt 1998 by Binary Finary mixed with For An Angel 98???

BT rocks my world,
there is two versions of movement in still life, the US and UK
the UK is 2 cd's with the second mixed, going from memory....

HMV Sydney on Pitt Street has heaps of the "Movement in still life" double CD version. The First CD is BT's own songs mixed, while the second is filled with remixed BT songs (unmixed).

The album is green with a pic of BT and is located in the Electronic/dance artist section btw

BT's got three albums:

Movement in Still Life
ESCM
Ima

All fuckin great albums, MISL and ESCM are pretty easy to find, but you'll have to look abroad for Ima. It was his first album...probably the best of the three

there are 2 more albums by BT, but i haven't heard them,
Rare & Remixed, and
Ten Years in the Life

BT (Brian Transeau) is one of those artists that really got me into this whole trance/progressive house world, around 4 or 5 years ago.

It started of with Flaming June... it has a very euphoric melody, and I can still remember seeing the video clip come on while I was in Grace Bros... and I just had to stand there and watch the awesome clip in full... what a moment that was. I think the track probably paved the way for more of his sweet-sounding tracks. Godspeed is a similar sounding track, it also has a sweet melody. It's on Gatecrasher Black, probably my favourite track on the compilation.

Mercury and Solace is another awesome track, has sweet vocals by Jan Johnston. Very dreamy, entrancing, soothing. A must-have. Video clip is strange but still nice, it got played quite a few times on Rage and Video Hits even. HMV sold the CD single for $4.95... and I felt like I was on e the moment I saw it on the rack for that price... so of course I bought it and it's one of my treasures... Central Station Records was selling the single for $17! It has the transa remix and a few others.

I have Ima, ESCM, and Movement in still life. Ima is quite old, the sounds are quite different to his recent works. Less trancy I'd say. ESCM is my favourite, there are some great tracks, like Remember, which also has very sweet vocals, and Content... both are epic sounding tracks just as Flaming June is, which is also on the album.
Movement in still life is okay... it has a few nice tracks, including Mercury and solace, but I think sounds less "epic" as ESCM.

BT does a few different styles of music... you might know the track "Never gonna come back down" which seemed very popular, that's his breakbeat stuff, I don't like it at all. I only like his slickly smooth dreamy trancy productions... his sweet progressive house stuff.

Try to have a listen to the great tracks I mentioned (and all remixes).

I think a yaer or so ago his equipment and new unreleased music got stolen... not sure what happened then... I wish the thieves at least released the music onto the Internet, then we could have a listen to his new stuff. Otherwise it's all gone to waste.

I have that triple PVD compilation CD (Vorsprung Dyk Technik)... I actually ordered it from Amazon.com... one of my first electronic dance CDs I bought... togteher with Sash & Digweed - Northern Exposure series. Hardly got a chance to have a good listen though... I think I spend more time continually searching and collecting music than actually listening... strange. All the old stuff gets pushed back.

ahh the problem of having a large MP3 collection
go back to 56k .. the rate you download, you have to listen to it all!

I'm on iiNet and my traffic has been shaped from 256Kb/s to 72Kb/s because I've exceeded my monthly rolling quota. And still I've been DLing 400MB/day... which unfortunately also adds to my quota usage.

The ironic thing is if I was to eternally stay shaped on 72Kb/s, I can DL more than if I try to stay unshaped at 256Kb/s. The shaping is like a punishment for exceeding quota... but the quota for the 256Kb/s account is 8GB/month... at 72Kb/s DLing continuously, you can can get a maximum of 18GB/month! So I am thinking of downgrading to a 128Kb/s account ($50/month as opposed to $70) and stay eternally shaped at 72Kb/s... I think I'm heading on that path anyway on my existing account, I might as well pay $20 less per month for the same thing.

Also, I not only download music, I also often spend hours at shops looking for treasures... it takes time but when I do come across treasures at bargain prices, all the time spent was worth it! Then they just get stacked onto the shelf with all my other treasures. Occsaionally I might have a listen. But I have so much music I have bought and have never listened. I will eventually listen to them, but I just keep saying that and time just goes by! It reminds me of a quote about life moving too fast... what was that quote?

Some nice remixes of Flaming June everyone should get:
BT - Flaming June (Chicane remix)
BT - Flaming June (BT vs Paul van dyk remix)

I'm not sure what Flaming June means... I think it's a particular famous work of art...?

That's the one. I forgot what it was called. My friend has it. I havn't heard it but he said it was very much like epic house stuff.

MERCURY & SOLACE!!!!!!! This song kills me!! I prefer the version on Sashas Ibiza GU, but holy crap, such a blissful song Giving up the Ghost as well, with DJ Rap. Cool trance, although i keep on wishing it'd break out into something more? Running Down The Way Up as well, ahhhhhhhhh such wonderful guitar at the start Simply, but fucken effective.

ESCM is definetly better than Movement in Still Life... depends what mood i'm in though, cos Movement is more trancey get up and dance stuff, where as ESCM has more of a deeper feeling to it, especially the first few tracks - Firewater, Memories in a Sea of Forgetfulness (mindblowing track :eyes and Road to Lost Withiel?.. i dunno, its track4, chilled dnb.

BTW, you cant really count Rare & Remixed and Ten Years in the Life as BT albums, as they're just a selection of tunes that were on the other albums, kinda like a best of thing

BT's 4th Album is coming out December sometime, bit late due to his studio being broken into...

Love Poundin' Sensation

Philby, ESCM stands for Electric Sky Church Music

BT is great! My favourite track is Mercury and Solace. wow, what a beautiful song! Fibonacci Sequence is another favourite of mine. I immediately fell in love with this track after listening to GU013.
I can't wait to hear his latest collaboration with Jan...should be good!

Ack been a bit slow in checking thr forum so sorry this is late, pretty much what everyone said but I just have to list some tunes which I think that everyone should have and the better mixes of those tracks...

BT feat. Jan Johnston - Remember, Sasha mix is ok too
BT feat. Jan Johnston - Mercury & Solace, Quivver mix is quite nice too
BT - Godspeed, Hybrid mix is ok too
BT - Flaming June, Chicane mix is awesome
BT - Dreaming, quite nice, a bit overplayed though, just get original
BT - Giving Up The Ghost, pretty cool
BT - Running Down The Way Up, nice music, vocals slightly annoying, still good though
BT - Content, nice and chill

Firewater, and Memories In A Sea Of Forgetfullness are decent too.

Overall I love both albums, I love the way the tracks on MISL are blended, similar to sasha's mixing on Airdrawndagger, they're very short but very nice.

And I'm pretty sure that 80% atleast of the female vocals on BT tracks from ESCM and MISL are Jan Johnston....look in the production notes in the little cd booklet (I can't be fucked atm).

Remember and Flaming June are two of my all time fav's
