Good movies about race
I have seen many but I can only really think about one
Bamboozled (directed by Spike Lee)
I liked it and it spoke to me in spite of the fact that I don't care for Spike Lee's style.
Please post yours
Regards,
Dave
I can think of a couple but the one that really stands out as my favorite is Glory.
Does a movie about Apartheid count? If yes then Cry Freedom is a good choice
A few more decent movies about race:
Higher Learning
To Kill a Mockingbird
Mississippi Burning
there are many many many others, I just can't think of em
Black Panters is kewl
American History X
absolutely brilliant film, just make sure u have a strong stomach or a high threshold for watching violence...
"Save the last dance" deals with race, although it's not that great.
its pretty sad u even mentioned a movie like that with those titles...lol
roots
american history x
mississip burning
ugh ill think of more later
Yeah American History X is awsome
roots and american history x were my suggestions. i also like menace II society. but that's more 'gang life on the streets' kinda shiat.
i remember seeing a very good move with Steve Biko (the black freedomfighter in South Africa that was killed in 1979).
Dont remember the name though.
