What Equipments are you guys using

Peopleee...time for another kiss and tell...

What equipments are you guys using to DJ?
I use a pair of Gemini SA600, Behringer VX300 (3 channels), and MY BIG BABY Sony MDR-V700. For the sound system I used my computer with SB Live! (the old one, the very first ones), and Cambridge FPS-1000 speakers, and CD burner to burn my compilations

...also....how do you guys download MP3 at the moment?? the times were sux after audiogalaxy died, now I mainly use Kazaa but there are not many songs there, anything else better????

......Last one......how do you put photos/pics underneath your nicknames on the left hand side???

CHEEEEEEEERRRRRRZZZZZZZ

2 x technics 1200mkII
2 x Ortofon concorde pro carts
1 x pioneer DJM-600 mixer
1 x behringer DX-500 mixer (deciding what to do with it)
1 x sennheiser HD-25 headphones (for mixing)
1 x sennheiser HD-200 headphones (for monitoring)
1 x Yamaha AX-392 amp
1 x Sony mini-disc deck
Computer with recording and production software.
2 x Linear Design floor speakers
2 x Jamo 3-way speakers as monitors

go into profile in the top left corner, and at the bottom of the options page (or something like that, there's only like 4 choices), the should be a button that says "change avatar". Then either load one from your hard disc, or provide a link to one online

DJ DOWLZ....

Your gears kicked ass matee...I mean those are what I called C00L gears...

By the way...I'm a bit curious about the white labes on the top right hand corner of your right TT (and i suppose you have one on the left TT as well)......correct me if I;m wrong but for me it read "...property of Adelaide University..."

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Nov-02-2002 01:08:

I wish the gear in those photos was all mine!!! I only own 2 CDJs and a DJM300. I hired the DJM600 mixer and technics turntables from a mate I do a lot of hiring of speakers from (he gives me them for midweek hire at an absolute bargain price of $40 for five days). So I normal hire the stuff when I'm on holidays. It's a lot cheaper than buying that gear! Anyway, that's why there's the sticker on them

Posted by matt_a on Nov-02-2002 01:26:

Hey Dowlz are the Pioneer CDJ-100's good? Like are they worth $949? I wanna get one soon to make my sets better and to play rare stuff. What kinda stuff does it do?

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Nov-02-2002 02:47:

The CDJ100s are absolutely everything you'll ever need (for CD DJing). Basically, you have a pitch control along the side (0.1% and nice and nicely spaced out) and a jog dial, which you use for finer adjustments. It's only problem is it doesn't play CDRWs (at least mine doesn't). Also comes with a few effects such as jet (flanger), zip (can be used to do spin downs) and wah (used to cut out certain musical frequencies). The cue/play is within 1/100 of a second, so that's no issue. Basically, a very good quality product, and definitely worth the price tag.

Posted by matt_a on Nov-02-2002 05:16:

Thanks Dowlz! It does play CD-Rs? That's all I need. It sounds excellent! Ok I've made up my mind I'm getting one! The effects sound really cool too!
