Studio room treatment for mixing
How would you go about treating a 12x12 size room for a mixing area?
I am trying to put my studio together Finally!
What is the best studio foam room treatment and furniture?
What will be the proper size speaker size?

12 x 12 x ?
anyway, 12 x 12 is square so you will have nulls and peaks in the bass response most likely.
Stay away from foam imo, not really effective enough, what you want are Rockwool based bass traps, GIK Acoustics are an example of companies making these with actual spec'd responses but if you google around you can see how to make them yourself if you are into a bit of DIY!
Speaker size........whats the best speaker is like whats the best synth.
My advice? Buy something as expensive as you can afford if you know you are in this for the long haul
why?
because you will only want to upgrade in about a year or so - trust me I've been there
Me personally i like something that can reproduce sub so i can hear any shit thats going on down there - you'll find a plethora of different opinions on the subject of monitors!
good luck!
