INTERNATIONAL DJS
-----------------
Introducing the headliners!

Scot Project - Overdose Records/Germany

When DJ Scot was thirteen years old his brother already began to teach him how to spin a
record right, so he was practising with his brothers equipment and records. 1983 he was buyinghis very first personal record "COD - In The Bottle", a famous Break-dance Tune and step by step he began to entertain a little crowd with Break-dance and Electro Music in different Youth Clubs around Frankfurt, Main (Germany). 1988 he was deeply fascinated by the first Acid and House tracks and started to use this Sound for his DJ Sets. Soon Scot was hired as a resident DJ in several Clubs in and around Frankfurt and knew how to use skills in different music styles like House, Hip-Hop and Techno. In an Interview he said: "You can't eat the same thing everyday!" Since 1992 he purchased Studio equipment for his own little studio and began to produce first tracks. 1995 his debut Single "X" was released on Overdose and already one year later he had his first European wide Club hit "U (I Got a Felling)" with Sales Charts England, Scandinavia and Spain. Since then DJ Scot counts to the elite of serious producing DJ's and wherever he appears - from USA, South America to England, Israel and Russia - his true fans are ready to rock any place with DJ Scot Project.

DJ SHOKK - Overdose Records/Germany

One of the heads behind the name SHOKK.... Claudio Pettanice discovered his passion for electronic music during their school days. The Art of knowledge was released in March 2000. Signed to legendary label Overdose in the summer of 2000. SHOKKs next single Folie de Deux was released on Pulse, the sublabel of Overdose. The single topped numerous sales charts in renound DJ stores , averaging number 10. Their follow up single Isnt a little strange shot into number 3 of the Discomania sales charts in Germany and number 1 in the export charts. In the clubland S.H.O.K.K is reprensented by Claudio, the man behind the decks. SHOKKs unique sound has dazed many clubbers around Europe. Get ready to Get Shokked............

DJ Sakin Overdose Records/Germany

DJ Sakin has played an influential role in the then-subculture Techno-scene since 1990. Among other things he is known for his appearances as resident DJ in the Wartburg (Wiesbaden/1990) and in the Music Hall (Frankfurt/until 1993) - the same clubs that served as stepping stones to a great career for big names like Michael Mnzing (Snap), Taucher or Mark Spoon. Today, Sakin is the resident DJ of Darmstadt's well-known club "Prodo-X". DJ Sakin belongs to the group around DJ Taucher. It is therefore no surprise that Sakin has been co produced by Torsten Stenzel, who has built his reputation on projects with Taucher, Ayla, York and many others and who is seen by many as one of Germany's top producers today. In 1998, DJ Sakin delivered the perfect Trance-hymn on Overdose, "Protect Your Mind (BraveHeart)". It has since established itself as the highlight of every club night and is a much-played hit on many radio stations. The tune of "Protect Your Mind" was taken from the movie "BraveHeart". Vocals are sung by Janet Taylor, who has also been the singer of all Hooklines of B.G. Prince Of Rap (This Beat Is Hot). Today DJ Sakin belongs completely to the Overdose Family und he still tours around the Globe. Most recently DJ Sakin released "Thunderbird" featuring Run DMC - check it out as it is set to be huge!! Take a listen at www.overdose.de/newreleases

Drunk

The local Techno, Breaks.. and Steve Strangis is good

but the internationals are pretty poor, aside Patrick Lindsay.

I won't be going to Kryal this time... maybe next time if they bring out some more techno, trance, breaks, progressive internationals, and less of this hard trance and hard house crap.

Bit dissapointing really, the last one had a really poor line up also, and the turnout was pretty small, the first one in December 2001 was fucking exceptional though.

Posted by webmeister on Nov-03-2002 10:02:

Hopefully they won't try a Sydney event like last time .. fuck me that was abysmal....

Posted by Philby on Nov-03-2002 11:32:

wasnt agnelli & nelson there last year? and they refused to play or something and acted like real pricks?

Well if ne of u are going there has been a change of venue

The venue will now be held in the crater of a volcano west of Melbourne
apparently they have done this due to the droughts and an increased risk of fire....at mount dissapointment

Even tho im not going.... a volcano sounds pretty cool

Posted by Aesthetic on Nov-15-2002 00:33:

perhaps the nearby volcano will erupt and take out scott project.

good luck to steve strangis who's playing at this one.. he'd be probably the only uplifting artist on the entire tour.

Posted by jizza on Nov-15-2002 00:34:

Uhhh NO, you almost scared the bejeezas out of me!

It is in fact the EARTHCORE event that has relocated to a new venue NOT Adventjah.

Adventjah will remain at Kryal, I repeat, staying at Kryal Castle.

Yayyyyy!!!! Everbody loves a good moat!

I rememeber the exact moment that happened webmeister. Were you there as well? I went with a couple of friends and my that was an interseting night. We had just got in and a speaker fell out of the roof onto my friends head. We lost the plot from then on. Did some unusual things at a dance party though, went and said hello to the shark, scored heroin of the triads in the shitters and finished off the night with a game of pool next to the dance floor.

It was FANTASTIC! Im glad others were there to share my pain.
