i am looking for a new set of speakers lately..
and i just saw this one....price looks really good?
i dont know much about speakers,so plz make comments on this one..
or u have other suggestion?

by the way,my buget is under 500cdn...

Those speakers are not the ones u want to go for man and dont buy speakers at Futurshop. For 500 bucks u should look for these brands Mission,Athena,Energy,AR,Infinity, Paradigm, Klipsch but if u want to spend a little more go for NHT they sound great. Take it from me because i work in this industry.

yea the frequency response is limiting and they arent gonna be sensitive enough... especially with a 150 watt rating its not gonna be very loud

well actually for 99 bucks its not that bad... you may want to use the extra money to get a sub : ) but if you really want good sound... i agree with phu, i have a pair of klipsch rb-5II with a rsw-12 sub. they sound great...check out tannoy too.

okay.so can u suggest me any good speakers + amp combo that under $1000 cdn?

and my local shop seems dont have those brand that dj phu mentioned..
i saw Athena and Infinity in futureshop and saw energy at a&b sound..
but not other brands...

so what about mission and klipsch ? r those really good?

klipsch is definitely the way to go : ) i absolutely love them... its nto all treble and bass like alot of speakers...these have alot of depth and clarity... very warm with really sweet highend. i think they go for like 5-800 dollars and the sub was a thousand soemthin but... you can get another brand or the 10 inch, im not sure, just do your research

for under 1000 i go for the sony db series receiver because its on sale right now. Reg price 1199 and on sale right now for 599 because its discontinue. Speakers its your choice, Go for a higher end brand, it will make your life better in the end.
