I'm coming to LA for Dreamstate....
What mall(s)/outlets would you suggest I check out? Clothes/Shoes.
I do know it's Black Friday so it's gonna be a zoo lol. Thanks.
Oh snapssss!
Where are you staying?
Staying with a friend just outside the city but I'm renting a car so I have options
Somewhat near to the event but nicer areas would be Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario Mills (outlet mall). If you want to hit the coast maybe Fashion Island in Newport Beach. South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. The Lab Antimall in Costa Mesa for something a little different. Someone else would have to help with suggestions from the west side but Melrose Ave and The Groove are cool. Out towards Palm Springs is Cabazon Outlet.
7-11 is pretty cool!

Ontario Mills is on the way so that's easy and Fashion Island/South Coast Plaza both look great.
There's a new Outlet Mall in OC in San Clemente.

Oh, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned Citadel in City of Industry and the The Outlets at The Block of Orange.

Closest is likely the Citadel outlets near Commerce Casino. (stop by there if you are a poker player. Biggest Poker Casino in the world)
Then there is the Camarillo Outlets in Ventura County.

There is also Cabazon outlets before Palm Springs. Next to Morongo Casino. (Indian Casino pretty much identical to Palms Casino in Las Vegas)

I'll second the Camarillo outlets if you're heading north to Oxnard/Santa Barbera etc.
Cabazon is fine, but for some reason I don't find them anywhere near as good as Camarillo.
Citadel is fucking massive and it's on the way to San Bernadino. Commerce Casino is big but it's ghetto compared to vegas.
The beverly Center is OK if you need trainers (sneakers) or an apple store etc but other than that, it's a regular mid-high end mall.
Melrose (where I live has changed drastically) and there's 100 bars, restaurants and cafes within a 2 mile strip, and tons of stores, everything from dispensaries, to vintage clothing, to toys, to art and design - it's basically got everything and the main area is really fairfax to highland. There's no Walmarts actually in LA (thank fucking god) but you can still find Kmart near the grove which you way to go to if you want a clusterfuck of retail and a decent farmers market/food stands.
If you're going to be in LA proper and need tips, PM me Swampah.
It was a bit of a whirlwind weekend so I didn't get to see anywhere near as much as I wanted.... however, I will be back so not a big deal.
Ontario Mills was a complete fucking zoo on Friday - manageable though. A bunch of stores had lineups to get in so I didn't bother with them, I was especially surprised by Levis having a lineup.
Prices/Selection were decent but with the exchange rate nothing was really outstanding.
