So what's up?

We have "hot" air coming in from England tomorrow. Could possibly be a mess because of glazed frost.
Good timing to visit family in Germany tomorrow, dammit.

Gonna hit up a new Korean resto for dinner. No movies we want the see in the theatre right now, so prob just stream something from Showbox.

Just been hiking this morning. Found a Square Tailed Kite nest with a baby just out of the nest, sitting on a branch in full view. Guess who didn't take his camera with him today :/

Indian carryout, NBA Basketball, and copious amounts of marijuana. SeemsGood

I miss drugs more than alcohol for sure. *sigh*

My friend bought a shit ton of edibles yesterday too. Cookies, brownies, some other shit. I was super jealous.

Went to this upscale Mexican restaurant tonight. Everything was great except the bill. Enjoyed a nice margarita. Why is it when you try making one at home it comes out shit?

Did sushi instead of Indian tonight. The place we go to was ridiculously busy tonight and when I was calling in the order he couldn't understand me, so I just said fuck you guys and called the sushi joint instead.

I really have no idea why they went specifically full Aztec on each other - I guess it's because it's gruesome, and it conveys the idea that "you shouldn't mess with the attackers", as it was gang related violence.

All I know is that a friend of a student my wife advised this semester was killed, and the cousin of another one only got away with it because he was sent to the hospital the previous day died in hospital. Manaus is a great place to live, but not for the fainthearted

The way you phrased it was fine, though I suppose not everyone is familiar with the term.

To be honest I've never heard it used outside of academia ie "Magna Cum Laude". In the States it's hard to find a bookstore that not attached to a cafe.

I figured it wasn't exactly the most colloquial expression out there, but it's closer to my native Portuguese so I went with it anyway

It's not exactly rare, but it's uncommon enough that I felt the need to point it out. They only exist in very large bookshops around here, and the caf� is not exactly small either... I guess there are some 30 or so tables here because people often come to study or work (as I'm doing right now ).
