Listening to Spotify this morning and Sash-Ecuador came on.... which then led me to Sash - Mysterious Times (which is nothing special musically but good enough for the quote I've had on my signature for practically forever, lol)

Always liked Tina too. Bought several Sash! and Tina cd's in the 90's.

We got some snow here, not much but it's white now.
Won't do a lot this weekend, except visit my parents as usual.

Got the birthday jamboree started. My mother-in-law treated me and ma petite with some pizza at our favourite all-you-can-eat place, got a free McDonald's hamburger sans-hamburger (still I missed the taste!), and yeah, this year the festivities have been pretty low key... It was just me pigging out with the family

Happy Birthday, Lira!

I celebrated a friend's birthday last night and spent this entire day in bed with one of the most horrible hangovers of my life. I never knew how much sherry some people could handle until being in a party filled with public school chaps. My poor body, I'm afraid, can not quite live up to their regimen. Though I also just generally find that the older I'm getting, the more the morning after a proper night out feels like hell

Ha! Super enjoying not drinking to hangover levels! Our friends had us over for dinner last night and I enjoyed a Scotch, not only because it's delicious but also because it's the best thing to drink when you can only have one of something.

I think I can see myself sticking to this kind of consumption.

See, this is what majoring in languages does to us: We analyse eurodance lyrics and come to the conclusion that the English words picked probably at random by three German producers aren't exactly as precise as we wish they were

If you remember they probably grew up listening to this (the brainchild of an Italian, no less), it's a miracle the words they picked make any sense at all:
