Friday Nintey One - Trump Edition
Did I spell that right? I've been drinking. And, yes, I know it's Thursday. But not for Stu!
My girlfriend had a job interview in Oxford today, so I took the opportunity to join her and give her a little tour, after her interview, with lots of me obnoxiously pointing out my favourite pubs and 'fun' historical facts. I have a lot of favourite pubs there.
No real plans for the weekend, though. Probably going to my favourite bar tomorrow for some 'forget Trump becomes president' cocktails, and then spend the rest of the weekend in various libraries.

As a 'Euro'-American; well, yeah, we live next to Russia - of course we're fucking concerned.
Pretty standard Friday for me, nothing really exciting to mention :/
Still Thursday here. Tomorrow I'm going to work and then eating dinner with my parents. No weekend plans.
Fuck, I'm boring.
I'm working all weekend. Also boring. But at least I'll get to catch up on my reading.
Boring weekend as well. I have a first date with some girl I had a thing for back in the day. But the spank well ran dry for that hoochie! I'll give it the old penis out when she gets in the car and see where that takes things.
Fill a turkey baster with Cetaphil! She'll thank you when you jizz on her face and she finds out it's mild cleanser.
Celebrated with my wife our first monthversary together in Brasilia, and tomorrow (Friday proper) we'll probably spend some time on her farm.
It occurred to me last week that I live just south of the Equator and I've ice skated far more than I've flown kites in my whole life (her nephew got into kites last month, and did it for the second time ever last Saturday). God, I must be such an insufferable toff
I accidentally fell asleep @ 6pm when I got home. When I woke up I thought it was early morning. I started getting ready for work only to find out it was 11pm.

going to montreal was going to see lucy at stereo but that turns out to be on friday and i won't be there until saturday afternoon. going to spend my time yelling on the streets about how much i hate french things
My wife got a raise at work, so I'm using that as an excuse to get drunk tonight.
I attended Obama's inauguration eight years ago. I've been reminiscing with friends I took the trip with of that frigid night/morning and the week-long trip. Fond memories.
Spending the rest of my day meandering in the markets searching for a gift and shopping to cook a bomb chili tonight. Salud

I got home today to find a letter from work giving me a completely unexpected pay-rise. Lovely stuff.
Wasn't this new job a completely unexpected pay-raise? Jesus!
Yeah, the new job was a pay increase over my old place. Everyone in the company had a pay rise for the new year, but as I was new I didn't expect to be included - my contract stated my pay wouldn't be reviewed until 2018. It's only a few percent, but it keeps my salary above inflation, which is useful in Brexit Britain.
