MOS Adelaide - The Review
What a night! Where do I start? Well, mr_stamper and I met up at my place at around 9, went up the street, got a few UDLs then at around 11pm headed off to Heaven. Stopped by at a servo to pick up a couple of lighter so we could continue the TA ligaya/tenshi tradition
When we got there, the main club was at 3/4 capacity and the locals were playing your popular songs like Modjo - Lady, Starchaser - Jambe myth (vocal mix) etc. Got a few drinks, then went out to check out the other venues. There was a small car park arena, which had heaps of tables and chairs, so mainly served as a chillout area. And then there was the warehouse, a quite large, 2000 person capacity discontinued building, where DJ Josh (this dyke) was playing choons such as Moby - Go (Trance Allstars mix) - you get the picture.
Got sick of listening to hard house, so we went a chilled for a while, listening to this breakbeats DJ. After his set, said hi and told him how we loved BT - Never gonna come back down (Hybrid echoplex mix) and Hybrid - Unfinished symphony. You should have seen how happy he was to know that people knew what songs he was playing
Went inside and the first song that was being played was our favourite Scooter - The logical song, so we ran (literally) with our ears closed for the doors. However Jules spotted the bassline of Delerium - Silence (DJ Tiesto ISOS) mix and so we ran back inside. However, next song mixed in was Lasgo - Something, so we once again ran outside
Chilled for a while, then took a couple of red bulls so we could be pumped for Corsten. Moved to the front of the arena at around 10 to three (Mark Dynamix was playing his typically crappy hard house). Met a couple of mad Ferry fans who were wearing System F T-shirts. Then at 5 past 3 the big men entered the arena to great appreciation from myself and Jules.
Absolutely amazing set, here's what I got of the tracklisting

System F - Dance Valley Theme 2001
Afterward, talked for around 10minutes with him. Asked him whether he played any new productions tonight and he said no - liar!
There were a couple of songs that had his name written all over it!
Moment of the night was 10 minutes into the set when I passed up this piece of paper for him to sign. Left it on the DJ booth while he was DJing and then he read it looked up and the look in his face was just priceless
Gotta be the fasted piece of paper he's ever signed. He also pointed at Jules' T-Shirt at gave him a huge smile, so that was a nice personal touch too. We also got our records signed and T-shirts (mine was the TA one and Jules made a tsunami one with Corsten's aliases on the back).
And as far as new Corsten productions go, the only thing he would tell us is that there's a new album coming out and it was 4x4 - Indigo on it. And yes, he said there is a possibility of a World Tour Adelaide
Lips were sealed. Pity we couldn't talk longer, but he had to run.
Overall, fantastic night. 5.5 Stars. What more could you expect from the best DJ and producer there is?
Oh, here's that piece of paper I got him to sign.

That piece of paper is priceless!
Bring on Monday night...
OMG, what a night!!
Where do i start?! So many things to say. Anyway the playlist the way i remember it:
ID
ID
ID
ID
Jas van Houten - Heaven's Gate
ID - I think a new ferry production off CD-J (he didnt say that tho when we asked him)
Capetown - Pitstop
ID - Tillmann & Reis - BassFly? (some mix of it perhaps, definately had the same bass line)
ID - New DJ Fire production with sample from 'Enigma - Age Of Lonlieness (Carly's Song)' <---- ONE OF THE BEST OF THE YEAR!!
Gouryella - Ligaya
Eon - Pocket Damage
Gouryella - Tenshi
4x4 - Indigo
ID
Oliver Lieb - Subsonik (filterheadz remix) mixed with Punk vocals
Ferry Corsten - Punk
ID
Rapid Eye - Circa Forever (rapid eye r.e.mix)
Plastic Boy - Silverbath <--- Loved it!
Veracocha - Carte Blanche
Gouryella - Ligaya (dowlz im pretty sure it was the original again)
Gouryella - Tenshi <-- again!
System F - Dance Valley Theme '01
Anyway i think thats about it off the top of my head, the songs he played that we didnt know were great tho so overall it was a fantastic set.
Mark Dynamix's last hour was shite, but he played some ok tunes at the start. He opened with 'The Lounge - Free Your Mind' and we also heard him playing 'Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (marco v remix)' and 'Armin van Buuren - Sunburn'. Both those songs sound fanstastic being blasted out of loud speakers.
The good thing about the night was Tall Paul played at the same time as Ferry but in a different building, so we had all the hardcore trance fans dancing and cheering along with us.
Haha, Ferry loved it when dowlz gave him the sheet of paper to be signed and when he put the records up on the table to be signed when he only just started mixing into them (thanks to some quick tune ID's).
I made my own t-shirt for the night. It had Tsunami and the Tsunami Lolo on the front and Ferry Corsten written boldly with all his aliases on the back. Ferry saw the shirt and pointed at me and signalled to my shirt and then gave me a big smile and two thumbs up!!
There were some other Ferry fans there so hopefully they saw downlz's tshirt (tranceaddict.com) and we will finally have some more adelaide TA's here!
The only lowlights, was there was this guy absolutely fucked right up the front and he kept on knocking the stage that the decks were on and making the records skip. You could tell Ferry was pissed off.
Anyway a FANTASTIC night overall, too many things to write in one post. You Melournites are in for a treat!!

Bah take a risk TranceBoy!!! They may not ask because you've already bought a ticket so sometimes they don't bother. I'm not saying it'll work but the whole ID thing isn't that bad of an idea. I went to Oakenfold in 2000 when I was 15 and I've been using a friend's ID for about 2 years, who's now 24 and I'm 17 so a 15 yr old could pass for a 25 yr old.....another friend of mine uses a friend's ID that says he's 26
I'm not trying to brag I'm just saying it's possible and it's not some amazing new scene when you turn 18. It's pretty much exactly the same, and the resident DJ's at many club's may as well be worse than the underage DJ's.....tho they do suck....
If the bouncer's don't like the ID don't push it too far, but don't let them take it, legally they can't. Just say "look that's me, if you don't like it I'll go somewhere else, but I need that ID to drive home with". Just think what you'd say if it really Was your ID.
So good luck with whatever you do, and you're all invited to my 18th on Jan 10th, going to go offf....I'm getting a job with Tec Tonics (hopefully, got interview stuff this week) which do Lighting/Sound/DJ Equipment/DJ Hire, so I'll be djing for parties and stuff and I'll hire sound & lighting for my 18th...
Will post a thread a week or so in advance....
nb. Sounds like you had an awesome night Stamper and Dowlz.
To melb.ta's don't think I'll make ferry..... *sniff* so sad....maybe next time...
Lol thanks for the advice Hybrid, if all else fails i'll have to fight the bouncers of United States Marine Corps style

LOL. Dream on Philby
Something I forgot to mention was that I talked to him about what he thought about CDJing and he said that he loves his CDJ1000. About a quarter of his songs were played on it I'd say. I told him, they were a nice toy, but $2000 can buy a lot of Ferry Corsten records
last time I saw Ferry, he got 4 decks out
one playing Blank and Jones - suburban hell
one with the bass of punk
one with the vocals
one with the riff
and he scratched them into suburban hell
the played the original mix after
was that it?
