11 Foot 8

Copying from a Discogs thread, cos it's just too good.

That was much more hilarious than I was expecting it to be. You'd think someone at Penske would warn their customers to avoid that bridge, lol.

I like the ones that slow right down as they approach it.

"Maybe if I go real slow then we'll fit... ahh, shit, I guess not huh?"

Love this video!

The last one is a classic.

Hey, at least by going slow they didn't completely total their truck!

I can't believe no one in the local government of that place has improved the signage

Probably the same person who uploaded the video

LOL, agreed. We humans are such funny little creatures. We'll anthropomorphize anything. It's like you can almost see/hear the people thinking, "I know my truck/camper is taller than 11'8", but maybe, just maybe, if I proceed slowly and respectfully, this bridge will really be taller and let me pass unscathed!" Right o...that bridge can't and doesn't give 2 fucks if you approach slowly or not.

Fact: I was a passenger in a lorry that got stuck under a bridge. I was a 6-year-old kid who had just gotten rid of the seatbelt.

I flew so far Stu may well have the pics.

Yeah, but people don't read signs, lol. There's a low rail bridge near where I live, and there are 4 or 5 signs leading up to it as well as a FUCKING FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT ON THE BRIDGE ITSELF, and yet when you get close to the bridge, you can see tons of marks where trucks have smashed into it.

The final sign is on the actual bridge: "Please report all bridge collisions to Queensland Rail" with the telephone number, like they just know it's going to happen anyway

The best are the trucks just short enough that they can make it all the way through at full speed while also getting their roof completely ripped off.

Same with the caravans/campers, where the bridge just shears off the A/C units on top. Gold.

Yes, I love that! I bet an RV center would charge something crazy, like $6,000 - $8,000 to replace those, too. That kind of stuff is crazy expensive already, and I'd be shocked if they didn't put a big ass after-market markup on repair/replacement.
