I think extended mixes are just the longer radio edit version, and the original is like the masterplan of the track. I'm not sure though. Sounds about right!

some songs ... the extended version is a lot longer..
like....
RMB - Deep Down Below (Extended mIx)
is longest.. et

Sasha - Xpander.. the extended is about twice as long as the original.

but there are some songs wheer the extended is shorter than the original and thats shite
