I had a tough choice this weekend. Either visit two super cool French sisters whom I met in Mexico for a party at their cousin's cottage outside Lyon or stay put here and hang with a friend of a friend who's flying in from Australia. After talking with said friend for an hour for the first time last week, I chose the latter. She seems mad cool, and it would be nice to explore the city with someone of the opposite sex not from here who also speaks English. Hope the decision to skip out on a weekend in France doesn't bite me in the ass. Or maybe I hope it does

Del probably will be in later, he's catching up some missing sleep. I bet he was feeling like a Swamper more then ever yesterday.
Good new is that TA member DJ Jerom is in the final of the TA Tomorrowland 2017 DJ Contest. I gave him the hint to attend while he was on vacation and Jeroen is very happy with this result. His set contains his own work, next to tracks other DJ's don't play a lot.
Have a listen at the five finalists sets here: http://tranceaddict.com/djcontest/2...lists/index.php
Temperatures over here finally dropped. Yesterday driving home from work in my sister's aircoless car with windows open felt like driving behind a hair-blower at maximum temperature
Not much planned for the weekend, except some family visits, watching F1 and listening to some Luminosity stuff, and doing what my wife didn't tell me yet...

Finally, after nearly 4 weeks, we're having a much calmer, more rational day at work. The remnants of tropical storm Cindy are supposed to meet up and collide with a cold front this afternoon, so we have the potential for some severe weather. The rain will delay yard work, but that's actually fine with me. Going to try to squeeze in a few movies this weekend that I requested as Father's Day gifts this year.
One other TA is a finalist too

Saturday here. Snapped this piece of gold this morning
It's even a real car dealer here in Brisbane

And, dear Christ, Mike's bright yellow website is so bright it hurts your eyes... It's even more painful than looking at the most recent innovation in Brazilian cuisine: Pizza spinners.

Is the idea to put pizzas on the outside so when you finish working your way to the center you're ready to eat dessert (the cinnabun)? That's truly an outlandish pizza but I'd expect no less from Brazil.

| Originally posted by DJ RANN I'm not even joking but I used to work with a guy called Michael Hunt, but he preferred to go by Mike. When i got made a manager (it was for a big pro audio store) I'd have to page out for him over the store tannoy: Has anyone seen Mike Hunt. I need Mike Hunt. Mike Hunt please come. Then I moved job and one of my clients was Richard Holder, and yes, he perferred the abbreviation. So much comedy gold when he called for me and the receptionist would have yell across the office: "I've got a Dick Holder on the line for you". |
Are kids these days too lazy to rollerblade that they buy these fidget spinners instead? The times are sure a changin'.
