Diamond Life

Are you still living it up? Or do most nights consist of couch surfing and Netflix? ...just curios.

Can't even download what I have saved. And I JUST found cock2cock=life and saved in there too. :/

Elaborate on rules and what awesome thing happened to get it.

New rules always mean someone got super pwned.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jul-12-2017 15:29:

It's not TA rules, it's changes to photobucket's terms. You have to pay to hotlink now, and can't even download your images.

I posted a link.

I actually figured out how to download stuff. My initial problem was that when you downloaded the file, it was in a proprietary format that nothing could actually open (called .jpg_original or something). If you just change the file extension back to .jpg it works fine again, and you can host the image somewhere else.

Fucking christ, is that what they did to "encrypt" them? You can just get a batch downloader and file renamer to get all them back and avoid the $400. How not to run a company.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Jul-12-2017 22:06:

No way, really? That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I honestly don't get it. Even the most retarded business operator EVER would surely realise that doing something like this is going to piss off literally every free user they have. And $400 is just fucking ridiculous

This actually feels like a last ditch effort to shift blame because they know they're going to go under.

"Yeah, our business would had been fine, but our asshole customers didn't want to pay $400 for something that was free yesterday and you can get literally for free from any of our competitors. Dicks."

Yeah, I was talking to my friend about it a couple of days ago, and joked that maybe they're just tired of running the business and thought "Fuck it, let's go out with a bang and see how much cash we can raise in doing so" lol.

While I don't like it. It's understandable that hosting pictures for third party sites where there's no ad revenue doesn't make business sense. Theyre the landlord who raises the rent to get rid of bad tenets cough that's you stu.

Except like Nik said, literally all of their competitors allow it, completely free. And $400 is just massively excessive, come on.

And that too. Putting a price on your service is somewhat understandable, but nobody's going to be paying that price.
