King Renaissance 1 mixed by Sasha and John Digweed

1994 album featuring 1992 music being one of the first mix cd's ever. Luckily I've found it "by accident" last year. Back then I haven't even cared too much, just saw the familiar name and grabbed it (I was'nt aware of its rarity!). At first I was disppointed as I expected progressive trance or tribal or whatever is popular TODAY.

After 1 year I can say that im in the PROCESS of getting into it. This style seems like extinct nowadays, that...kind of Italian vocal piano house...Took me long to discover its emotional potential and makes me wish to be there, experiencing those legendary nights which looking back, seem like milestones in the history of today's prog and house scene.
I'd like to know what exactely happened to this genre and what is official name was(is this the so often mentioned "acid house"?) and whether I'm the only one who's digging it and wishes to go back in time

yeah back then it was all aciiied at the Hacienda! Where everyone would wear yellow bandannas and shout ACIIIIEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDD. Yeah, but i dont really know what you would call the stuff on that cd, probably early progressive House, or just maybe Epic House.
