Edgar V @ Simon's Anniversary Party, Nov 16th in Gainesville!!
As your resident Gainesville TA spokesman I am proud to present Edgar V to a town that hasn't heard anything like him in at least a good year. Yes, as Gainesville gets our music scene back(slow as it may be) it appears that we suddenly have an intrest in electronic! 
So who all plans to be in town for this on the 16th? Simons throws some of the best parties in town when they put their mind to it and their Anniversary bash is always huge, so look for an amazing show!
I invite everyone to swing by my apartment before and/or after the show for a possible party, of which I will keep you all informed. Also, parking in Gainesville is a problem on Saturday nights so anyone who needs to can park at my apt., as I am walking distance to the clubs.
I'll keep you all posted with cost and dress code as soon as they post it(which should be this weekend, cus their website schedule only goes up to tonight)

he was there 2 months ago and heard from a friend that went to his show that he rocked the place, i had plans that night of the 16th but i am definitely changing them now, there hasnt been much of a trance scene in Gville in quite sometime (other than his other appearance 2 months ago and a slight one at JP Gators)... ill be making the trip up from Tampa to be there for the anniv... Simons though is usually very laid back with dress code as long as no flip flops and beach wear type,... this is a post from Simons in another forum

VIP??? what do you mean? that little tiny area around the booth in the main room? all that provides is a place to sit down, personally i think that new "vip" area is worthless... if you know something that i dont or are talking about a different area then my apologies up front...

I was able to catch the last show at Simons a few months ago. Edgar rocked the place as usual... I think Im gonna try to make it out to the anniversary show as well on the 16th.

yes gville does have those anti-rave laws, all places that serve alcohol close at 2, but then again things start a bit earlier just b/c of that reason, dont we all miss the days of the sunrise closings and people like PVD, Deep Dish, Digweed, etc... playing there, wasnt it just 4 or 5 years ago that PVD played for this same anniv. party, oh well, times sure have changed--total side note but funny how Oscar G is playing across the street the day before Edgar V, good representing of Space up there in Gville,.. oh and you mentioned something about advanced tickets- that shouldnt be necessary b/c Gville is a totally into hip hop and house, but you never know, the anniv party could bring some people out of the shadows, i doubt there are even advanced ticks... tampa sucks so its worth the 2 hour drive for me
yeah the 2am shit kinda sucks. hopefully edgar will go on at 12 and then we'll have a bangin 2 hour set from him
when acosta spun there last month it was from 12:30 to 2, and the dress code was whatever. we had no problem with tickets either. the place got packed, but we got there at like 10:30-11. so it was straight.
i can't wait for this, should be a gooood show!

News from the G-Ville
About the tickets...I seriously doubt they will be sold in advance. I went to see Mara at Simon's in September and it didn't anywhere near sell out. I'd suggest us all getting there about 10:30ish (depending on the order of DJ's) just to make sure but I wouldn't worry about advance tickets.
About VIP...They have 2 new VIP rooms at Simon's since they renovated. The area around the DJ booth is no longer VIP, just tables to sit at. The new VIP is located above the bar in little rooms that you can see for the club but appear to be, like, 1/2 level up. They have couches and big screen TV's now too. They look tight as shit, only problem is thet you can't see they DJ from them. We could get them to relax in before Edgar(cus if the opening DJ is ANYTHING like Acosta's was, I'm not interested in seeing them) and bottles would be nice. But it's probally expensive as hell, as Simon's always is. I dunno, we'd have to have alot of people.
About dress code...Simon's has basically no dress code when they play electronic music. During their hiphop nights they have the club dress code, but I've never seen someone in jeans and t shirts get turned away for Trance or something. I'd come to dance if I were ya'll.
About the RAVE law...No comment, it fucking sucks, blah, it'll still be a good show.
About parties that weekend...No problem, it's homecoming week, so if any of you get here the day before or something, there will be much to do. I have misplaced my cell so you can all try me at my house line, but I'm not usually home. I think we should have a TA party, since there seem to be alot of people coming to this. Any arguments to something along those lines?

all of the above sounds good, you are also the new guy on the enation forum too? nice to get some more trance vibe in there, i was almost shooting myself with all the house talk, but it has good info on Gville events and other events in general, throw me an email anytime b/c all my info on here is up-to-date b/c i just joined this forum a week ago, (damn where have i been), this weekend will fucking rock! although its not the debate of either PvD or Marco V like the NY peops are having to choose from...

Speaking of...Flo, I may know of a warehouse party about 45 mins from Gainesville Sat night till 6AM. Not sure if I wanna hit this after Edgar or not. It will probally be mostly Jungle. I'll probally just get blazed.
I almost forgot...I need to know how many people are coming so I know how many to say for the guestlist.
It's 10 bucks to get in I was just told. But I'll try for guestlist.

ta meeting is definatly happening!! it worked out nicely last month
we all met up before hand, like an hour or two before the show, and chilled at bo's house. it was cool. then we walked to the club, and after the show, we walked back and chilled. it was really straight, would love to do it if bo lets us again

spyke, about the jungle party, i'd be down to hit that up, but i dunno if anyone else would. we could just go to edgar, chill at your place for a bit, and then go. i dunno, we'll see that night probably
