Astral Projection tonight?

is the astral projection gig at billboards still on for tonight? it wasnt listed in eg in the age yesterday and didnt see anything on inthemix.

In all fairness, i don't think the promoters had that much to do with it. They had no say whether the Isralei army decides to call 'em up for service. In fact, they worked their asses off to try and make the night work at all. I reckon they'd be as pissed off as well.

It's a shame it wasn't that good, but if they are coming in March...trust me Astral will try and make it an awesome night to make up for this one.

Most psy artists love the crowd/listeners because psy isn't as big as half the shit out there in clubs and they try their best.

When infected came they're like "Yeah Sydney was ok. But Melbourne fucking rocked!" they were awesome. Funny bastards too

btw. Fractal Glider is awesome A friend of mine is currently making some tracks with Sensient, should be good once they finish all of them, the work-in-progress he's given me is great.

I think the reason it was a dissapointing event was because of trouble in the middle east. I was gonna cruise down all the way from Adelaide, but then i decided to wait till march.

AP indeed is good in a club, i've heard them played before and the cround went nuts. As with Fractal Glider, i've seen him live, something i won't forget for a long time!

I got this email from the promoters, which half explains that it wasn't gonna be the greatest event:

'As some of you would know or have heard rumours due to the recent escalation in tension in the Middle East and the fact that civilians can be called up for military service within 24 hours, the event Tripitaka (2-3 November) has been postponed til March 29th.

Light Sound Dance informed Astral of everyone's disappointment and after much mad emailing have worked with the boys to organise to take a 24 hour leave from their country in order to come and do the worldwide launch of their new CD here in Melbourne! They'll literally be flying in to play and then straight back out - legends..!!!

Unfortunately, we couldn't close a new outdoor booking in time so......

Astral Projection WILL BE PERFORMING the live set at Billboard nightclub on
the 9th of November.

Playing on the night and in no particular order:

Fractal Glider
Astral Projection
Steve Barr
Psy Fi Nasty
Nirav
Ozzy

Tickets $40 at the door.

Astral Projection @ Tripitake WILL also still be going ahead and has been
re-scheduled for March 29th 2003......!!!!!'
