Holy Shit!! They are playing in SF the night before but I just don't have the energy (balls) to do the 24 hour party trips these days. And all of sudden, this comes along. Tickets bought yo!

Looks nice, Party Animal. We should do a TA meet-up for this one, like the old school individuals we all are.

100% accurate ive seen multiple djs weeks apart in NYC and LA and the NYC show absolutely shits on what they played in LA
Agree but often the crowd is a big part of that; For instance, a few years ago I saw Carl Cox in Vegas at Drais and when i left the club at 9:30am it was abolsutely packed , there was still a line out the casino and when my buddy left at 11am it was still going for it.
Two days later Carl played exchange. He was basically playing the same music, doing his thing etc,but the crowd was just odd; Persian and armenian banker types in cheap suits with overdolled girlfriends who didn't care at all for the music, tons of randoms who seemed like they just stumbled in to the club by accident, and then a hardcore group of cox/dance music fans. By 2am the crowd was thinning out and by 3am when it wrapped up, it was only about 80 hardcore fans on the floor (in a club that holds 1500).
LA crowds often suck because the clubs seem to just be about the "show" and not the music, and often don't understand how to communicate to people who will go out to see a DJ.

Vanguards History:
Club Utopia > Vanguard > Create Nightclub > "Factory 93".
Supposedly, Insomniac has some sort part ownership with the venue (they were involved back during the Vanguard days). They're supposedly renovating the place to give it more of that Warehouse feel and will be hosting their underground nights there.
Cool1G is the guy with all the EDM news so he would probably have more info.
They're now called Academy, no? Factory 93 is at another location.
BTW, I know this is not the right place for it but nobody on here anyways so I'll just share it. There was a guy named Darin here and looks like Seb Leger is giving a shoutout to him

Interdasting.
So it seems Academy is doing mainly insomniac events with one or two dreamstate nights.
Lineups aren't terrible actually:

ewww... looks like my buddy was all wrong considering the factory 93 events.
Factory 93 seems to be in the commercial area right next to downtown. But it's also owned by insomniac?
Wtf don't they own lol.

Oh for fucks sake.
I swear to god, as much I love him, I HATE Carl's website with a passion. It barely ever lists his tour dates in advance, and it still not listing him as played in LA.
Please provide deets of the night? How was exchange? I like the club but the crowd as mentioned above, always sucks there.

this is right around the corner. Anyone else going?
This party was SIIICCKKKK!! Dixon is definitely the man right now! I'd highly suggest checking him out if you get a chance. But his appearances (along with the other acts from the Innervissions crew) are rare.
