Question about Sperm

Right when it hits the air...does it die? My girlfriend and I debate this. She says it does and I say it doesn't. What's the truth?

yeah when it hits the air im pretty sure it dies. and if its left sitting for any period of time it will die too because they are extremely sensitive to temperature, too hot they will die too cold they will die; this is the reason for your scrotum(ball sack) hanging down a little lower on a hot day to get the little guys away from your body heat, and why on a cold day your sack comes closer to you to keep warm. so yeah if the sperm isnt in your balls or in your girlfriend somewhere its gonna die eventually, i dont know exactly how long, but like i said anywhere else just isnt prime living conditions. i think optimum temp for sperm is high 80's(F)

Sperm die quickly and have mutant problems with heat, like two tails or no dies. Sperm will not mature very well with body temperature and above.

However, sperm will strive well under cooler conditions. They can be kept in colder conditions such as -200 degrees celcius for safe keeping, but will die in hotter conditions like 38 degrees celcius.

Sperm die all the time, they die in your epididemis, vas deferens and urethra, so asking whether sperm die in air is not a valid question. Are you asking if they are aerobic organisms or anaerobic organisms?

Btw, the semen contained with your sperm contains alkaline buffer meaning they can survive acidic conditions (vagina) for a certain period, so they are pretty tough fellas

The hot water may kill the sperm cells, but even when you have a boner, there are some sperm cells pouring out all the time, so they can impregnate (i'm LMAO about this word, is it real??) your girl as well, so just wear a raincoat...

Yeah, use the 'pulling out' method if you want to get her pregnant. You do realize before you ejaculate that a clear fluid is first released which contains an amt. of sperm cells that can find its way to the egg and cause fertilization.

Having sex in water is no good ie pools, jacuzzi's bathtubs, anything where where the pussy is under the water. Reason being that the water gets inside and can cause serious infection to the vaginal walls.
