Paul van Duck is sick :-(

quote:
but PvD sucked ass this friday!

all due respect to the man, cuze I usually love his sets, but this one just sucked.

I was there, and he was probably drunk or stoned out of his mind cuze he had that classic "E-look" and one time the music just stopped, and he looked suprised for a moment, then he did thumbs up, and kept playing. The crowd loved it but for me it gave a negative feeling.

the tracks werent that good mixed, tracklist werent great (In my mind) and overall I was dissapointed.. first time for me to see PvD live, Ive seen Tiesto, Picotto, Ferry, Paul O., Fergie, Armin and the guy who I thought would kick the other guys asses, didnt deliver at all.

my two cents!

Paul didn't show up at Capital. He is ill. Dunno what the problem is but at least you know now why that set was disappointing.

Playing friday in Denmark, saturday in The Hague and sunday at Mayday is not working ou

Hope you get well soon, Paul

yep, i can confirm that... well, maybe not "pretty bad", but not as good as he use to mix... also, some of the tracks he dropped sucked
still a very good set though

man have you guys seen the poor mans gig list. Good lord it's never ending..he plays day after day after day. After awhile it would kind of take the fun out of playing. But you know he's making mad cash!!!

I hope he feels better WAY soon!!!

Wowowo ur saying it is bad, but then u said it is a very good set, which is it? B/c i had to miss it live online b/c i had to goto fball game. So i want to no if it was good or not.

to clear things up:

i agreed on the part that the mixing was not as good as we are used to hear from pvd... but as i said "pretty bad" is to exaggerate

the set was good... especially when you are there, seeing him live, i guess almost everything is great then

he dropped many good tunes, tic toc, we are alive, for an angel, another way, artic [pvd remix] and so on

but as i said, some of the tracks he dropped were not good at all IMO

still a very good set though (quoting myself )

please notice that i am takling about the live performance on club vega, and NOT the radio set

i am quite happy about this one as well

Posted by trancer_guy on Nov-10-2002 18:05:

Cool thanks, yeah in most live sets there are a couple bad songs in there, but it will always happen so it is ok. Well they were playin it over the internet while i was away so im kinda pissed.

who spun instead of him?

Posted by jp on Nov-10-2002 20:28:

Tiesto did one hour more, so did Sander Kleinenberg

Posted by trancer_guy on Nov-10-2002 20:58:

How long did it take for the people to figure out that pvd wasn't spinning?

Posted by jp on Nov-10-2002 21:03:

He should have played 01:00 - 03:00hr, but he wasn't there 01:15hr so we asked some guy who said he couldn't come.

Posted by trancer_guy on Nov-10-2002 21:10:

SO they just brought out tiesto and sanders and they just started to play. How could some people not have noticed taht?
