sweeeeeeeeet

Confused

wish I hadn't read that, he seems a bit stuck up.
Highly doubt any of those tatoos were real.

M-A-U-R-O-P-I-C-O-T-T-O seems a little P-I-S-S-E-D-O-F-F.

Posted by IronDragon on Nov-11-2002 07:12:

he does seem like the kind of person who would in fact be a pretty stellar jerk though I you can't really tell everything about a person from what they say on one interview.

just a comment on that song where he spells out his name...thats one of the lamest things anyone could do. I mean, those are the type of things that artists like Scooter or Warp Brothers would do...no offence to Mauro (well, kinda), I loved Back to Cali...but that M-A-U-R-O-P-I-C-O-T-T-O thing is down right pathetic

Posted by Luke Terry on Nov-11-2002 13:08:

Cool

he doesn't sound pissed off at all to me, those comments you lot have made are just lame and u should be ashamed of yourselves

Posted by Lira on Nov-11-2002 13:47:

He's not pissed off at all. As far as I remember, people from Turin (Picotto's hometown) are a bit closed, but they're nice people...

... I lived there for 2 years, so I guess I know what I'm talking about

Anyway, Bangkok rules indeed...

i dont think he seemed pissed of really, but i found this a little arrogant:

Has anyone influenced you as a DJ?

Myself.

Kinda lame i thought

Yeah, but it's still a kick ass track

Guys- u have to understand that there is a language barrier going on here too. I guess it comes out worse on paper than it was in person.

And I'm sure those tattoos were real- I've seen many fans post them on his fan site.

Hello all,

Speaking on behalf of Mauro as his publicist for this tour and setting up this interview for Trance Addict, this was an in person interview and was transcribed exactly how he said it, you have to understand that Mauro is not a native speaker of English so his wording may come off too direct and can be misinterpretated, but in all honesty Mauro is the humblest and most professional man when it comes to his career and dealing with the public. I hope this takes care of any misconceptions that this interview has displayed on Mauro's reputation.

Cheers
Dee

Thank you Dee.

Someone was able to clarify any petty debates which may have arisen through the semantics of the interview. Mauro's a top bloke at the top of his game at the moment. Maybe his answer's wer brief cos they were in a hurry? y'know? And his English aint fantastic (there's a comical interview with him and Pete Tong on Radio1 EMix...he sounds like Super Mario..hehe)

Respect to Dee and Tatgirl for their contributions, do not judge guys: a closed mind is a wasteful thing.

Hello dhaz yes Mauro was very tired from jet lag after flying for over 8 hours to Toronto and readjusting to the time difference. Thanks dhaz for understanding, as I hope the rest of you do.

Cheers darling

Love the break in pulsar has to be one of the best.

Posted by TheNeonAlien on Nov-12-2002 17:50:

Well i heard the interview first hand from Natalie. I must say that mauro did not sound edgy at all. He was laughing at times and by no means seemed like an ass. And yes his english is not spectacular, thats why his answers were short and blunt. Common people give the guy credit for even doing the interview! Ass or not the guy is the best DJ PERIOD. And pulsar is not cheap when he spells his name out(really sets the mood), nothing of mauro's is cheese! I dont know why but i m starting to like one of his darkhorse tracks called Wake Up. I think he should spin this song more often!

Take it EZ

It`s cool to see that one of the songs he is most proud of is Bangkok.

I love that song too

Posted by benfica88 on Nov-13-2002 02:35:

Im guessing the comments might have something to do with the culture difference. Most who said comments where lame where people from North America. I'm sure he's a nice guy. Most people in europe are extremely nice, theres just culture differences or ways they talk that might not seem so nice to us.
The internew at www.bxr.it seems a lot better, albeit short.
