Avalon Emerson Live at Printworks London
I just recently discovered her and I am really intrigued. I really loved this set of hers Live at print works. I don't think all the transitions work but man was this set a breath of fresh air and how amazing would it be to actually rave to this live?
wondering what others thought about it and her.

She seems to play in Leeds constantly. I've never listened to a full set, but from what I have heard, she plays a load of really hammering techno and then mixes it in with some semi-ironic rave cheese, inspiring dozens of comments on SC about how "OMG this gives me the feels".
Is that halfway right, or am I way out?
That sounds about right. It might in theory be bearable until the vocal stuff is brought in.
Love the SC comment about how Sven Vth must be "crying in the corner realising hell never achieve this level of mixing skills". Unless it's irony I'm missing.

Yeah to me it's way more that jacking house type sound than hammering techno. But I really had fun listening to this mix.
I actually think her big issue is mixing. She loves playing some old school breakbeat and rave tracks similar to what Ricardo has been doing lately but she can't mix like him so she looses flow.
I'm definitely going to check her out live. I think she might be really fun at a wharehouse party, since I know that these cheesy rave tracks go off like gangbusters when people are mashed
I think Id go mad if I had to listen to that for two hours. Doesnt do it for me.
not a fan... Way to harsh for me. Sounds like Jeff Mills drunk
