Friyay 199 - Wha' gwan?

Down the salt mine tomorrow but finally the rain is clearing off after somewhat biblical downpours for the last few weeks. Imma take the mountain bike out for a quick spin.

What say you?

Football competition for the boys starts again tomorrow. Weather is excellent with close to 10C luckily as it's an early start this year.

Fighting a cold. Bleh.

Spent the entire day and a small fortune on furniture shopping, although some good timing on my credit card statement means I won't have to surrender the money for almost two months.

Even setting that aside, I've spent loads of money this week. Placed a chunky bet on the football which won't come in until May, went to Manchester for a gig and bought some over-priced CDs from the merch stand, got stung at a curry house tonight where it turns out the beer was going at 6 a pint, and bought tickets to see Sasha & Digweed at 36 a go. I would endeavour to live a monk-like existence next week, but it's my better half's birthday and I haven't bought a present yet. Balls.

Still feel like such ass. Have never been this sick that I can recall. Not so bad I can't pull it together for work all weekend, but my stomach is still pretty wonky. Haven't eaten very well all week.

Seems like it'll be quiet at work all weekend though, so that's a bonus.

Anjunadeep 10 release party. It's sunny and relatively warm, which makes a party like this all the more fun in February.

It's crazy how warm how it is. I was out walking today with some tunes on and the sun out and it felt like 1-2 months later than it is. I was actually getting a sweat on even though I only had a hoodie on. Not that I'm complaining. Last year it snowed right to the end of March, which was grim.

Bipolar (particularly the depressive side) is ruining my life. Trying to get everything back to normal.

I'd like to say something inspiring and life changing, but I did bugger all this Friday. And the previous one. And the one before. I have just heard a huge strike may begin next month, so I'll be back to dodging molotov cocktails in a bit

I'd like to say something inspiring and life changing, but the most responsible thing I can say is: get some professional help in case you're not already doing it

Totally worth it.

Yeh I'm getting as much help as possible from meds, therapy and also friends. I dunno I feel alright now, just yeh things have been really complicated lately. My emotional state actually seems to be more affected by my (mild) BPD rather than bipolar atm as well fwiw. I know a lot of people with it that live successful lives despite it being a "serious" mental illness so I guess I'll just get more coping strategies and tools over time.

May as well say what you were going to say. I know enough about psych to know how to disregard any bad advice.
