Best samples in dance music history?

It's prevalent in hip hop music but I'm sure it occurs in dance music as well.

I friggin love JFK's voice in Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space from his 'Special Message to the Congress on Urgent National Needs' on May 25th, 1961. It was just the icing on the cake.

I'm not certain like I am about hip hop music. There should be people who knows more about sampling in dance music than I do.

Actually, sampling is not allowed in dance music, so there isn't any, unlike Hip-Hop.

Thought 'Tears In The Rain' was a great sample ...the first couple times I heard it used. Then I discovered it's one of the most over-abused samples around.

/clips from David Lynch's 'Dune' a close second

This free sample from NASA (that you can still download, I think) is used well in this track. Simple, yet effective:

Though Tiesto's Lethal Industry samples him playing Tetris.

I know it's not trance, but the famous Crystal Method dance track (Keep Hope Alive) samples American civil rights activitist, Jesse Jackson.

"and I say this to the night...let us not forget...there is hope!"

Recognize the one at 1:50 minutes which my friend used in this track?
Always thought it sounds pretty cool:

And this one came to mind, I bought it long ago. Check who's behind it

Surprised we managed to go a full page without anyone bringing up Stage One.

I know it wasn't nearly as popular (probably because prog wasn't nearly as popular at the time), but the 'Dark City' samples he used in 'Part 3' were also fantastic:

Anyway, I feel like the best, most successful samples in dance music history are probably key snippets in poppier dance music most of us can't even recognize as samples, from back in the 90's when everyone was sampling everyone, usually without concern for the rights.

I remember the first time I saw Dark City and being amazed when those lines came up, hah.

Samples JFK and a Strictly Rhythm record

Orbital themselves have claimed their breakthrough single Chime has been sampled in more than 50 tracks including Joey Beltram - Energy Flash. That's remarkable.

Ah I never realised the spoken text from Gamemaster came from that madness. "Embracing the goddess' energy within yourselves" etc.

This got no attention when it came out (except from Skyonee, and it was not positive), probably because it was just thrown into Graham's debut Space Manoeuvres LP when it finally came out, but I love the way Leama & Moor used those samples on their chillout remix of Stage One:

Not sure why they went with this titling since it's an obvious remix of Stage One, but it's a fine listen.

I've always thought that track one of the best things Marty and Andy produced together, that and the rather similar Shades of Yellow. Not surprised it got little attention as the mcprog world was all over four to the floor tracks like Fact of the Matter at the time, with these downtempo tracks almost like a bonus track added to releases that focused on 4x4 tunes.

I thought it was fantastic, as is so much of their work, but wow, that debut album was such a disappointment. So much buildup, too. All those great remixes in the years prior: Eclipse, Second Sun, Forme, Crayons, all leading up to...something as flat and forgettable as Common Ground.

To be fair, they had been growing apart musically, so I get why the aptly named 'Common Ground' sounded so middling in the end. Seems like they just wanted to put an LP capstone on their storied collaboration and go their separate ways, as those two never did anything again after that.
