Any Montreal TAs planning to make the trip... I would want to see Misstress Barbara as many times as i can... Let me know... it should be fun... but i don't know if i would go alone... be accompanied by someone would be better... just in case...

Posted by Skipper on Nov-13-2002 20:00:

I would love to go but it's so faaaaar from Toronto! *cry*

Posted by RazerYokes on Nov-13-2002 23:42:

je l'aurais bien fait, sauf que j'ai une rencontre de famille importante le dimanche matin, donc oubliez moi

I can't really stand prog - Trance is the only electronica music I listen to. I think that's what Miss B spins right? What about DJ Heaven - what does she spin?

Greg my man...we have been thru this before.....

Progresive IS the answer

and i also think that Misstress B is all about techno....but maybe another TA can verify this.....i am not sure what DJ Heaven plays

Progressive is NOT THE ANSWER!

Miss B is techno and Heaven is tech-house I think.

Bah, techno and prog bore me - it just sounds like banging. Hell, when I went to see Deep Dish I thought he played the same song all night.

hahaha i get the same impression with prog. dj

but techno i love it i have no problem with it

Posted by morsy on Nov-14-2002 16:21:

when it is miss B that spins techno i have no problem with that

Posted by discojoe on Nov-14-2002 22:06:

dude mistress barbara is not progressive. nothing like deep dish. She spins techno, tech-house and more and more house from what i hear. While i will admit you probably wont find any melodies, im expecting fast hard exciting beats. Nothing like deep dish! Go check out her relentless beats compilations on soulseek. While i know its wrong to download albums i guess its not so bad if it gets you to buy a ticket to her show.

and ya i really cant get into some progressive djs. especially the really progressive ones like satoshie tommiie and even diggers. Its just not dance music. Sasha i love though

Posted by discojoe on Nov-14-2002 22:08:

i guess i dont mean "really progressive" ones. Really i meant the more dark minimal repetitious ones...

Posted by SiM PeRf on Nov-14-2002 23:03:

two hot chicks at a time!
mmmmmmm, that's gonna be a great night....

Posted by j@y on Nov-15-2002 04:38:

the only thing i coulnd stand is prog all night long

to put you in the mood at the start its perfect
but the perfect night would be chris liebing night was close to perfection)

yaz vs preech=gets you in the mood nicely
chris liebing=hard music, dance like hell
armin van buuren=cools you down with trance and then you can go home
in a perfect mood

on chris night the only thing that was not good was to listen to hard beat with mateo murphy after 4 hour of HARD HARD HARD tunes
a trance dj would have finish the night perfectly

Posted by MEAT on Nov-15-2002 20:49:

there seems to be some confusion about my previous statement......i STILL maintain that progressive IS the answer.....but i also believe that TRANCE IS LIFE......oh yeah.......HOUSE is to DIE for........maybe i should have mentioned that also

and i also know that Miss B is NOT progessive..........i might be a dumb-ass....but i am NOT that dumb

Posted by exergo on Nov-15-2002 21:03:

your all wrong...

drum and bass is the highest form of music in the universe...it is the answer to everything....ahahahaha

If you can't find a melody in her techno, you don't really know what a melody is in the first place!

Her techno has serious funk!

maybe im wrong but i didnt think modern techno by its very nature has melodies. Techno is about beats pure and simple. I know what a melodie is so no need to define it for me. And besides there is other types of music she does spin (tech house, funky house) that do have melodies.

However that said, what you will NOT find, and what i meant was, are trance type melodies. I was simply trying to show the contrast between trance and what mistress spins. If you have heard her and you cant see the difference, you are an idiot.

Posted by fastmp3 on Nov-16-2002 00:59:

i like techno because thru the beats it creates a melody in my head , and i'm not on crack seriously

i can't now i swear

Posted by malek on Nov-16-2002 06:41:

well no one said anything about the time these girls spin or what time the club/after opens, or how much at the door.

Posted by discojoe on Nov-16-2002 21:31:

club is small so tickets will be about 20-25 before midnight might be cheaper. i think normal hours are 10-6 mistress will spin probably last two or three hours. im not sure though they dont tell you much.
its no aria though remember
