need help in the search for techno songs

I love the song Atb - don't stop, Atb - 9pm (till I come) , Darude - Sandstorm, System F - Out of the Blue , Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space, Cosmic Gate - Back to earth , Lautsprecher - Omnibus. I was wondering if anyone could help suggest songs along these lines. I really love don't stop and 9pm by Atb. I like the way it plays half the main melody, then the whole melody. Please any help is appreciated.

Almost forgot

Reflector - Techno's love theme
Chuk & Gek - Dolphins(second edition) make sure you get the second edition and not the first. The first sounds pretty bad compared to the second. ^_^

try these, from what you posted you should enjoy

ATB - Let U GO
Warp Brothers - Blast the Speakers (Advanced 12in mix)
Warp Brothers - We Will Survive (club mix)
Voodoo & Serano - Blood is Pumping (Pumpin' club mix)

there are many many more I could write, but look around the other post, plenty of good recommendations. Also do your self a favor and check out pretty much anything by Paul Van Dyk if you already haven't

ok first none of that is techno (though I haven't heard that all..)

you're probably looking for "cheesy",comercial trance. maybe your next step to "real" trance music will be something around 4 Strings, Svenson & Gielen, Rank 1, ... download some tracks from these guys

Posted by Fundamental on Nov-13-2002 16:27:

Exclamation

This poor guy's been missing out on real trance...

Go and get 'Shane 54 - Equinoxe 4' mate.

That'll set you off nicely...

Half the melody, then whole the melody: Ayla-Ayla quality tune! I prefer the dj Taucher rmx ('97). In the beginning it sounds rather deep, underground but that's just to create a contrast with the emotional ayla melody. Works out great. (don't know if you'll find it anywhere)
Clear view-Cry for love (dj Philip rmx): the structure of this one is a copy of the ayla dj taucher rmx, but of course with the samples of the clear view song.

How's it going

Hey welcome to the board and feel free to ask alot of questions on what tunes are quality and what tunes are just plain cheese on rotten toast.

you'll learn alot here. Try any Tiesto cds to suite your trance vocal taste

Hey - Some good tracks have been listed, get some others by ATB, the style he uses is very contained. You might also like Ayla tunes. You're also getting a lot of negative feedback for liking songs that are popular, but I applaud you for listening to what you think sounds good, a trait lost too often in some people who post here. There is a lot of good music out there, some songs are rarer than others, but always listen to what you find enjoyable. The music you choose is for you and no one else should presume that they can tell you what you should and should not like. You'll get people telling you that you have been missing "real" trance and that you "need to be enlightened," which is all pretty ridiculous. I was glad to see that you like Reflector - Techno's summer Love theme, I haven't heard of anyone else who has that track. Good luck in finding more good stuff!

everyone's gotta start somewhere... Years ago, when I was first getting into "techno" (read electronica), I loved the cheesy stuff too... serves as a gateway to the good stuff...

No no no no. You want to point him in the direction of REAL trance and make him leave the cheese stuff.

Deej, one way to get into 'real' trance is listen to alot of live sets. There are many places to download recordings of them and will help you expand your knowledge on electronic music. And get rid of the mainstream stuff!! Check the new releases forum for new tracks available, and check the TA download page for some great tracks. Hope ya enjoy your stay here.

EDIT: Ok here is a list of a portion of my music I have on computer (excluding all my vinyls and cds ). The majority is trance. From hard, uplifting, progressive, melodic and some house music too. http://www3.sympatico.ca/ehewitt/playlist.html If you want any of those check the Chillout Room and read the stickey topic about the EMC HUB.
